21 Best Greek Restaurants near Bay Shore

“We’ve been looking for a quality Greek restaurant in our area. There are so many disappointing options (which I won’t mention by name). We had been to Mediterranean Express a long time ago under previous ownership and weren’t impressed. Saw that they had changed hands a while ago and decided to give them a try, again. So glad that we did.

We ordered the falafel appetizer, the gyro platter, a Greek salad with gyro meat and a galaktebouroko dessert. The food quality was impressive… everything looked and tasted homemade, the portions were huge (there were lots of leftovers) and the taste was outstanding. Most of the packaging is biodegradable (much appreciated). The counter staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

If there was one suggestion it would be to pack the French Fries in the platter separately as they were soggy when I got them home. Next time I’ll ask them to do that for me.

The price for the quality and quantity of food we received was excellent. Nice to know we have a quality Greek restaurant that we can frequent in our neighborhood.

The owner Jhonny is a great guy, and always makes sure the customers are happy highly recommend for anyone looking for a great local spot. They deliver super fast. The foods always hot upon arrival give them a try you won’t be disappointed!!“

Was great because so many other establishments were closed for their own lunch breaks, so we were lucky to find such a wonderful open spot. “I cannot say enough about the incredible food and how unbelievably fresh their fish is. From the moment you get there with their chickpea salad, which is phenomenal and then there’s tzatziki, which is also the best I’ve ever had you off perfectly. There’s never a time I don’t come home with leftovers. The staff is friendly And consistent. “Cusmos is a great local Greek spot. Never had a bad meal from them, and the portions are always very generous. We get the Greek salad every week or two and it’s one of our favorite take-out dishes. George and his employees are always very friendly to their customers. Highly recommend!“

“Pictured is the Da Vinci, a delicious pizza that is also vegetarian friendly for those who need vegetarian options. Food is delicious and all staff, front and back of house, are friendly and professional. Nice view of the town and calm atmosphere. Most of the wait staff hired are in high school or college, making this a good place to go to if you’re looking to support neighborhood kids. The owner is a kind, respected member of the local town who goes above and beyond to give back to the community. 10/10 highly recommend.“

“Was in the area working and decided to have lunch here. The place has a very large menú to chose from so I was a bit hesitant on that. Usually places with large menus tend to have a hard time keeping items fresh, but no not here at hell's kitchen the food was great flavor and taste are great. I ordered a chicken gyro platter. The gentleman behind the counter insisted I try the empanadas so I did and it was very good. The crust was very crispy and flaky just like a traditional empanada and it was stuffed with spicy chicken. I wish I would have ordered a few more. I recommend stopping by if you are in the area.“
