“It was so nice to come back to Himalaya after so many years! My first visit was in 2013 when I had just become vegetarian, and I returned again in 2017 as a new vegan. Now, as a 9-year vegan, I was excited to see that they still offer so many delicious vegan-friendly options.

I started with a red sangria, then the Steamed Veg Momos, which were fresh, handmade, and packed with a flavorful mix of vegetables. The Lasooni Gobi was perfectly crispy with a delicious Himalayan sauce.

For entrees, I ordered the Veg Thali, Tadka Dal, and the Veg Korma. The Veg Thali was a wonderful way to sample several classic dishes, the Tadka Dal was comforting and full of aromatic spices, and the Veg Korma was rich, creamy, and made with a dairy-free cashew-based sauce. I also enjoyed the paratha made without butter, which paired perfectly with the curries. It’s the best I’ve had!

Himalaya is a wonderful family-owned restaurant. The food is consistently flavorful, the staff is welcoming, and they do an excellent job accommodating vegan diners.

Whether you’re vegan or simply looking to try authentic Nepali cuisine, I highly recommend stopping by. I’m so glad I came back, and it definitely won’t be another several years before my next visit!“

Going with friends and/or family who haven't been before, makes the experience even more enjoyable. Straight-away, newcomers are impressed as they review the eclectic menu. We tell them, honestly - we've never had anything on the menu that we didn't LOVE. It was not unusual that, on this week's visit, our party of six couldn't make menu selections 'cause everything sounded so good. No problem, we simply "ordered for the table"! Ready for this - we ordered: 2 orders of Pulled Pork Sliders, 2 orders of Brie Stuffed Pretzels, Asador Corn, Watermelon Salad, 2 orders of Smoked Ribs, Shrimp & Grits, and Chinese Chicken Salad. OH MY, what a Scrumptious Feast! Not a morsel was left over! When the friendly, attentive waiter suggested dessert, some said, "I can't eat another thing!", and "oh, maybe tomorrow". I suggested, perhaps some very delicious iced cappuccinos, or an outrageous dessert drink. Everyone ordered something. I then said to our party, I think we need some accompaniments. My wife and I got the waiter on the side, explained we had a Birthday Gal at the table, and ordered an assorted dessert board for the table. Moments later, the board was presented with a glowing birthday sparkler and a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday". Immediately, the signature Carrot Cake, Mexican Chocolate Covered Churros, Bourbon Glazed Donuts, Cheese Cake, and Vanilla Gelato began to be devoured. Nearby patrons could be heard saying, "We'll have what they're having!" It was another memorable, Great Time at Southern Table. Bravo to the Chef and Staff!“

“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. I say this as someone who has organized many events professionally over the decades. Donna Sullivan and Jean-Jacques are top notch.“

When I go in, the girl who usually takes my order is always there , Believe her name is Briana or Bri not 100% sure . She is a young girl with dark hair, looks very Italian. She is super adorable, very personable and well-mannered, always has a smile on her face, and always helps me out! There are a bunch of others girls I see there often and they are fantastic as well :) Great food, great atmosphere, great music, overall-great place to go. “I need to tell you that my family has been going to LaTulipe for the past 20 years and this place just keeps getting better and better. The quality of the cakes are exquisite and second to none .
Marteen, Fran, Michelle and quite frankly the entire staff are incredibly helpful and always accommodating. They will take orders for special occasions that make the celebrations so much more memorable. We have celebrated birthdays , graduations , sporting events , and they have made amazing designs and put photos on the cakes that have taken deserts to an entirely new level.
Finally, my daughter who has been gluten free since the age of 10 has never had to feel compromised in celebrating her special occasions because the birthday cakes and graduation cakes have been off the charts delicious. We look forward to her wedding cake next year!

Nice location with plenty of seating inside and outside.
Great beer menu including some N/A options.
The food menu is well curated and the food is outstanding.
You can sit at the bar and get served but if you are sitting either outside or in the large hall you have to go to the bar to get your drinks.
The food is the same way, you have to go to the counter to order and then pick it up when it's ready.
This is a very common system for beer halls and places that do high volume.
The staff was friendly which rounded off the experience.
I highly recommend the blistered shishito peppers, they are phenomenal.“

“My family has made Bobo’s a staple of our weekly dining since we moved to Somers five years ago. The food is always consistent, the staff are friendly and attentive and make you feel like family.

My wife has Celiacs and Bobos has the best Gluten Free Chicken Cutlets in the area. We never have to worry about cross contamination as the staff is well trained in food allergy preparations.

I would recommend using their mobile app to order around lunch time as the place gets slammed midday and ordering ahead of expedites the lunch process.

“I have to start with they have the Manhattan Special Espresso Soda! One of my favs and makes it worth the trip in and of itself.
That said, I got the eggplant dinner with a salad and garlic knots. I didn't specify a dressing and got a creamy balsamic that was really good. The knots were great with just a little burnt cheese on the top. Not burnt in a bad way, maybe crispy is a better term. But delicious and buttery. The eggplant was also spot on, perfect amount of sauce and nice tender eggplant with the thinnest layer of breading that was crispy along the edges. I'll definitely be back.“

“I went to this place the other day but when I got there, it was so crowded. I had to either have a 30 minute wait or sit at the bar. Obviously I sat at the bar, but the food was good. I got the chocolate chip pancakes. there was a lot I had to share with my friend. But It was a good amount for the price. I also think the atmosphere around is super cute.
