“My mom and I hosted a baby shower here, just this past weekend, and we feel we need to scream from the rooftops just how amazing it was! The staff was phenomenal, anything we needed they were right there to help! The food was stellar and all of our guests were talking about how they wish they could load up to go containers from the buffet! If you ever have to throw an event, do yourself the favor and check them out! The owner is the nicest guy and really just went above and beyond to help make the shower perfect! “Excellent Brunch for Mother’s Day! We never go out to eat on Mother’s Day as the restaurants are usually too overwhelmed. I am so glad we came to Shands General this year. The service was excellent and everything was extremely coordinated. The food was delicious and our party of 6 had a great time. Highly Recommend!“

“What a spectacular hidden gem of a restaurant! I'll go anywhere for a good duck breast, this place absolutely delivered 110%. Right amount of char, the seasoning, and it was cooked to perfection. Smoked salmon and burrata apps were delicious. We couldn't be happier with the very attentive service, quaint atmosphere - and the food was really on point for such an unassuming location. Also, the hot rice pudding with golden raisins was fantastic, as close to grandmas recipe as I can remember coming across! Keep up the spectacular work!“

“Recently celebrated our daughter’s 1st Birthday here. After researching many venues in the area we landed with the Grille. Jenn (the event coordinator) was extremely friendly, professional and informative from the moment I called her to inquire about the space. The venue is a dual space. You have the catering room as well as the bar area where there are pool tables and a dart board. Perfect for our guests in their 20s. The food and staff were amazing. I cannot rave enough about Amy, Jenn, Steve, Ernesto and Sabrina. They were all so helpful and accommodating during our event. Jenn was extremely attentive and made sure we had all our desires fulfilled, up until the morning of the party. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this establishment. Book them! You won’t regret it!“

“Trio Restaurant at the Holbrook Country Club is an outstanding venue. It’s primarily an event hall rather than a typical sit-down restaurant, and they really do a fantastic job hosting gatherings and celebrations.
Everyone is treated like royalty from the moment they walk in. The service is excellent, the food is great, and the hospitality is even better. The staff is friendly, helpful, and makes sure everything runs smoothly.
The place is very clean and well maintained, with easy access and plenty of parking available, which makes attending events there very convenient. The atmosphere is welcoming and perfect for special occasions.
They also host private events, so if you’re planning a party, celebration, or gathering, this is definitely a place worth contacting.

“Melinda was absolutely amazing at George’s Luncheonette in Patchogue! She was so kind, friendly, and funny and made the whole breakfast experience even better. She suggested the waffle and it was delicious — freshly made and perfectly crispy. She also let me customize it with chocolate chips, fruit, and whipped cream which made it even more amazing. She made sure our coffees were always full and hot too, which we really appreciated. The breakfast was incredible, but the service was even better. You can tell she really cares about her customers. “Watch Hill is a campground and glamping site inside Fire Island National Seashore, and it’s basically one of the most unique “nature stays” near New York City. You don’t get there by car—you take a ferry from Patchogue and then walk or use a wagon to reach your tent or campsite. The whole experience feels like a mix of beach escape, camping, and national park isolation.

It’s very popular in summer because of the ocean access, safari-style tents, and the fact that you’re staying right in a protected coastal wilderness area.“
