“We had a pre-theater dinner at Bistro 44. The decor is quite cozy, dim lighting, old world NY vibe and leaded glass accent window. Service was excellent as was the food. We enjoyed the Crab cakes which were delicious-lots of crab and little breading wit great flavor. the tuna tartare was fresh and light served with a homemade guacamole. I had the seafood risotto which was likely the best I have ever had. Loaded with lobster, shrimp and mussels. This dish was a wonderful surprise of flavor and crustation. My husband had the short ribs which made him smile. The meat was very tender and moist just falling apart with the touch of a fork. We have been to this lovely spot in Northport a few times and we continue to return. Food and Service have always been very good.“
“On an evening boat trip we decided to have dinner at Captree Cove. There were quite a few patrons enjoying the breezes coming off the water. The fishing fleet is great to see too. Everyone at our table ordered something different. The seafood fradiavlo, lobster ravioli, fish tacos and mahi mahi entrees were excellently prepared. The end of summer staff did a standup job catering to our needs in a sweet, pleasant way. We truly enjoyed the evening and will be back.“
“Delicious!! They have a 40 oz cowboy steak that is amazing. You can either share it or take home for leftovers the next day lol I prefer to not share it's that good lol and reasonably priced . Ambience with a German flair . The staff is attentive and friendly and Dale our waitress is fun and bubbly. The chicken cordon bleu was yummy and so was the authentic goulash and very good. “A fun place for lunch and dinner. I was a bit hesitant bring my son who is 3yo, because you just never know if he's having a good day or bad day. But I decided to take the risk and bring him on a mini date because there's only so many visits this mommy can take to Chik-fil-A and it turned out great. He was on his good behavior and tried the mushroom risotto, which I told him was cheesy rice with my short rib and he has a cheese burger and fries. They did forget to put cheese on his burger which he was quick to point out but that was a quick fix, the staff was quick to melt a slice of cheese on his burger and brought it back out quick. My only semi-compliant was a side was small sweet potato smash was $12 which was the same cost of his burger and fries. Otherwise, everything was great, staff was attentive and we had a fun time. “The service here is great. Very friendly staff, and the wait for the food is very short. The food is delicious, you can't really be disappointed. I always order a hot dog with sauerkraut. The hot dog is always very fresh and does not taste microwaved like other grilles. The food is fairly priced. They have this new rewards program which I am apart of since I go here very often.“
