We had a pre-theater dinner at Bistro 44. The decor is quite cozy, dim lighting, old world NY vibe and leaded glass accent window. Service was excellent as was the food. We enjoyed the Crab cakes which were delicious-lots of crab and little breading wit great flavor. the tuna tartare was fresh and light served with a homemade guacamole. Had my birthday lunch there today. I had the delicious skirt steak sandwich with french fries. Their cab sauvignon by the glass is so good that I had two! Tablecloths and mood lighting even for lunch- that's my kind of place. Cozy little booths. They surprised me with a piece of cheesecake w/ a candle and sang happy birthday to me! I will be back here for dinner with my husband! Everything was so delicious and spot on! Thanks so much for a grrrrreat birthday!!! ?❤️

Been coming here for over 10yrs, never a bad meal. Great versatile menu with lots of options and always fresh. The staff is pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Great ambiance and even better during the Summer when the courtyard opens up.
