“Food is really good. I had the burnt ends app and catfish at the restaurant and I took home ribs brisket pulled short rib home. Had the collard greens and string beans as a side. Nothing disappointed. Everything was good. Waiter was good and very helpful in recommending items. Drinks were good. Wish this place was closer to my house.“

“This will become your go to place for BBQ! Highly recommend. We had some amazing food. Pastrami is my go to and I have had it at over 50 places this was a favorite. Everything is homemade and you can tell the chef is passionate!! All sauces served on the side so you can choose your own sauce adventure. I never thought I would be equally as excited about ketchup as I was the fries but here we are. It was so laid back and there was no pressure! This place has very knowledgeable staff. I can’t wait to go back and eat again.“

“One of our church members had a wedding reception on Saturday and used Westchester picnic. What a great experience! They arrived on time and brought everything for the lunch. They even provide their own garbage bags and containers. In addition, they take away the garbage. But most of all, the food was delicious! The wedding service was a little late in getting started but they accommodated us by staying later. The servers and staff were amazing. Please don't hesitate to use their service. I highly recommend them.“

“AMAZING! Customer service and food quality was 5/5 stars!I ordered lunch for my office and each one of us was able to eat a dinner sized portion for under $10 a person! I called and spoke with a really nice gentlemen, who was super nice and helpful when it came to choosing what I wanted to order. I ended up ordering a family combo (beef ribs, pork ribs, and chicken) with rice and beans and a whole chicken with veggies and fries. It fed 7 people with some food still left for another 2 people. “Went there today for the first time with my wife, I had the 10 West burger, so delicious, cooked perfectly and the burger was huge, just the right number of toppings and the bacon jam hit it out of the park. The sweet potato fries were excellent and enough for two people. The chips that come with the burger were also good. My wife had the regular burger with no cheese and an order of regular fries. She really enjoyed it and said it was cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly, the owner, Mel, greeted us, took our order and chatted with us while our order was being prepared. We were given a little disc that lit up and vibrated when the order was ready to be picked up at the counter. One of the best burgers around! A little pricy, but definitely worth it! We'll be going back for another delicious mouthwatering experience!“

“I've driven by this place a billion times and never once gave it a second thought. I'm also not a food truck kinda guy but wow did I just find a new spot to frequent.

Prices are so reasonable considering today's absurdity and the food is great. I had the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, both tasted great. My foodie fiance loved it as well and she's a tough crowd.

If you skipped this place before, turn back and give it a shot. The guy who helped me was very polite, which is rare to see good in person customer service these days. Trust me, this joint should have way more than 30 reviews.“

We ordered the tteokbokki with cheese, and it was so good. Spicy, cheesy, and super comforting. The soy garlic chicken was amazing too. I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but now I can’t wait to go back. Definitely worth trying, even if you’re picky like me!“

“This place is a neighborhood gem for Korean food. Their food is actually very tasty and fresh. Although their Korean BBQ meats are all pretty good, I think they make an exceptionally good kalbi (marinated short ribs) if you're in the mood for grilling at the table. However, their best dish is Yook Gae Jang - a spicy beef broth with shredded brisket meat and some vegetables. It's so hearty and delicious! Perfect to warm up the soul during the colder months! Not only is it their best dish, it is the best Yook Gae Jang in all of Bergen County imo! Anyway, you can't go wrong with any of their food choices here. All fresh and quite tasty.

Parking lot is pretty big, and the restaurant is clean but dated. And there is a cold draft in some areas of the restaurant because of all the vents that suck out the smoke. Service is fast and attentive, but the language barrier limits an enhanced service experience. But I've always found their service to be just good enough for me. And prices are fair and they give you lots of side dishes/appetizers with your meal. Oh, and ask for hot tea and they will give you a cup of Korean corn/barley tea which you'll enjoy! “I can't say enough great things about Defiant! Last week we hosted a small wedding reception and it was perfect. We were able to do anything we wanted with the space we had (we didn't rent the entire place, just a few tables). The food was great, as usual! The beers and other drinks were great and the price was so reasonable! We were able to use all the games at the brewery, and we were even able to play Terminator 2 on the projector which was a major bonus. The staff was truly wonderful which made everything even better. The owner, the cook, and the bartender were all so friendly and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better place to have a casual, and intimate wedding. Thank you guys SO much!“

“It has truly been overdue when it comes to typing this review but i absolutely love this place . As soon as i walk in i request my favorite waitress Bernadette !!!!! (You wont regret it ). I ask for the porterhouse medium of course along with two sides i can’t ever turn down . Mac and cheese is flavorful with a side of a mash with a well balanced seasoned steak . Hospitality from my favorite server makes it all worth it and I’ll continue to come back not just for the food but for Bernadette! . This review was needed after today’s special visit .
