Everything is homemade and you can tell the chef is passionate!! All sauces served on the side so you can choose your own sauce adventure. I never thought I would be equally as excited about ketchup as I was the fries but here we are. It was so laid back and there was no pressure! This place has very knowledgeable staff. “I recently stopped by Hudson Smokehouse in the Bronx and ordered the brisket, turkey, mac & cheese, and baked beans.

The brisket was the standout: tender, properly smoked, and sliced thick enough to hold its structure without drying out. It had a deep, smoky flavor without being overpowered by sauce. The smoked turkey was equally impressive—juicy, well-seasoned, and a great lighter counterpoint to the brisket.

On the sides, the mac & cheese was rich and comforting with a solid balance of creaminess and bite, while the baked beans had good depth—slightly sweet, slightly savory, and clearly simmered with care rather than treated as an afterthought.

“Mother and daughter day trip to the area. We took a chance and decided to try The Pitt for a late lunch. Wonderful and surprising exoerience. Small place with a big heart!

The gentleman there was obviously a neighborhood treasure. Customer after customer came in and engaged in short but thoughtful banter. He was friendly and made us feel welcomed.

The food was very good! The service was kind, thoughtful and genuine. The atmosphere was warm and homey. Definitely more of a take out or dine and go quick spot with limited seating.

We had the pulled pork sandwich and brisket on a biscuit. You pay for the sides. Coleslaw was included. We got chocolate chip cookies to share. Pricey but delish!

Parking was free and right in front. I have a feeling that parking may vary at different times of day.“

“This unassuming takeout spot consistently delivers friendly service, a well-priced menu, and most importantly, delicious food.

While the atmosphere is casual, the food is anything but. We often call ahead to place our orders and pick them up, although their delivery service is also an option. Expect a 15-20 minute wait for your order to be prepared.

The generous portions are perfect for sharing, and we highly recommend trying their fried chicken, spam musubi, Hawaiian chicken, chicken and broccoli, and sesame noodles.

“Went there today for the first time with my wife, I had the 10 West burger, so delicious, cooked perfectly and the burger was huge, just the right number of toppings and the bacon jam hit it out of the park. The sweet potato fries were excellent and enough for two people. The chips that come with the burger were also good. My wife had the regular burger with no cheese and an order of regular fries. She really enjoyed it and said it was cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly, the owner, Mel, greeted us, took our order and chatted with us while our order was being prepared. We were given a little disc that lit up and vibrated when the order was ready to be picked up at the counter. One of the best burgers around! A little pricy, but definitely worth it! We'll be going back for another delicious mouthwatering experience!“

“Haven’t come here in a while. I ordered fried meat dumplings and soup dumplings to start my dinner. The dried dumplings came suspiciously fast, and I was right. They were precooked and kept heated. The dumpling itself was nice. The flavor was nice. It was the texture that was a bit off. The bottom was burnt but not crispy enough. A few of them were broken and the filling was visible.

The soup dumplings were okay. It was steaming hot. The wrapping was nicely done, but just a bit too thick to my liking. The flavors inside were a little bland. I didn’t like it with soy sauce, so I asked for vinegar, and it immediately made it better.

For main course, I got an orange beef. It was cooked very nicely. The beef was cut into bite size, and fried until they were golden and crispy. However, a few pieces were quite tough and hard to chew. The steamed broccoli was cooked perfectly! It was green and crunchy. It paired well with the dish. The rice was okay.

Overall, it was a nice meal. A little more expensive than I remembered, and the food quality was a little not as good as I remembered.“

“I've driven by this place a billion times and never once gave it a second thought. I'm also not a food truck kinda guy but wow did I just find a new spot to frequent.

Prices are so reasonable considering today's absurdity and the food is great. I had the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, both tasted great. My foodie fiance loved it as well and she's a tough crowd.

If you skipped this place before, turn back and give it a shot. The guy who helped me was very polite, which is rare to see good in person customer service these days. Trust me, this joint should have way more than 30 reviews.“

“Love it here. Easy spot with the kids and affordable kids dishes, which we appreciate. Weve been here so often. Only thing I want to me tion is we recently went here and as nice as our waiter was, I felt as though he's costing TR money because he brought us Soooo many rolls. We counted maybe 20 rolls in total because he gave us a bag of 8 or so when we were leaving which we didn't ask for. The kids kept eating them and he kept bringing them.

On top of it, he brought us 2 extra milks for the kids out of kindness. Additionally, my husband was only halfway through his soda, and he brought him another one and took the other half away.

He was nice and very attentive, but maybe just giving away way too many extras that just eats into the revenues I'm sure. Overall, still a great spot.“

The food is extremely reasonably priced and the quality is excellent for the cost, with a large plate of nachos only being 14 dollars and a full cheese pizza being only slightly more. If you come here with a large group and order shareable items the price is easily below 10 dollars per person. The service is very fast and the eating area is very pleasant and open.“

Get your amazing food, pay, and leave. Have you ever seen the soup episode in Seinfeld. I only go once a week, but about 5 time each week I look through the door, to see if it's packed. Usually it is so I move on cuz I ate crowds. (When I say packed I mean it because there is not seating, it's just an order counter and pay counter inside.). I indulge once a week when I'm lucky enough to see a line 2 deep or less. Here is my problem. My first time in there, rookie, I wanted to try a burrito. But they are so busy and it's they have a lot of food in hot pans to make plates. But the burrito they grill the raw chicken right in front of you, and I couldn't help but feel like I hold up lines. I will tell you though, when that thing comes through, hot, fresh and mounded high with chicken for 7 bucks! I was floored. Cheaper than a garbage taco bell burrito for 8.69 half the size and less than half as good. I was hooked. But today, I grabbed one of their rotisserie chickens from the oven in the window. I am not telling y'all any lies. Best. I . Have. Ever . Had. Now I love fired chicken, breading is great yada yada. But never had a roast chicken this good. Only one pointer, they default give you a garlic sauce, either it doesn't need it or ask for something you spicy if you like a little kick, cuz this sauce is pointless. So no, you can't sit down and eat. Not it's not quiet, no they don't have time to be friendly. If you want TASTE for VALUE then you know what to do.“
