Today, One Love Jamaican Restaurant in Brockville surprised us with incredible oxtail curry, FESTIVAL that reminded me of a similar snack we call “Vettucake” from back home Kerala , India and a taste of the chef’s amazing goat curry. Every bite had something special!

“We had a lovely family lunch here, with tasty sandwiches and pastries and lots of tea! I loved the cute tea pots with cosies, and really appreciated that they had gluten-free bread and scones! The owner was so lovely. We will absolutely be back!”

“As being an former employee of Executive Taxi in Brockville for 10 years, I have ventured into Jon’s Restaurant many times. I was never disappointed with the food or service. Very friendly family oriented restaurant. They are right across from Via Rail so I never had far to go to grab my eats as we have a Taxi Stand at Via. I highly recommend them to anyone traveling through or to Brockville.”

“Just had the most insanely tasty cup of coffee from Richard’s. These folks are truly amazing! Trudged in about an hour ago grumbling to Melissa that I’d been up since 04:30 and had heard a rumour they had caffeine. She laughed and prepared my usual large Americano. Then, as I left, she grinned and said she’d added a 3rd shot of espresso. I cracked it open while driving north and just about starting floating on air. Had to call in and tell her it was easily the best cup of coffee I’d had in over a year. Thought I’d share - cuz it’s now my ‘go to’ and might become yours, too. Cheers!”

“Foodwise, this was the best executed meal I’ve had in Brockville. My half-chicken, half-steak salad was generous and very tasty.

Other family members ordered the ribeye, chicken, and seafood pasta, and everyone was happy with their meals.

They had interesting decor, which reflects the owners’ love of Star Wars and classic movies. It gave the restaurant a lot of personality.

The one disappointment was that we were there to celebrate a birthday. I asked if they could do anything special, and unfortunately, they said no, not even a simple candle. I completely understand that they may be a small husband-and-wife operation with limited capacity for extras, but I felt even a small gesture like a candle would have made the celebration feel a little more special.

Overall, excellent food and a unique atmosphere, with just a little room for improvement when it comes to special-occasion touches.”

“The fudge is top quality and some of the best we have ever tasted.You can tell that the fudge is made with love, care and commitment. We loved the Maple and Chocolate Fudge and the Smoky Maple Syrup that she was selling from a local vendor. Joanne was so kind, friendly and generous and very customer-focused. We appreciated her sharing a few samples with us. We can't wait to visit again on our next trip to Brockville. Thank you Joanne!”

“I have been going to Halls Apple Market for a few years now. As with any store of this type, things can be a bit pricy. However, the people there are very friendly and helpful. The pies are excellent. I can’t really give it any kind of negative. I’ll be back.”

“George and his staff are exceptional and very attentive, the quality of the food is superb, and portion sizes are massive - so go hungry or be prepared for leftovers (which I personally love). For a smaller space they do a great job of getting folks seated as soon as possible - but it's a very popular spot with the locals (for good reason). Never disappoints 👍”

“This was our first visit to this restaurant today and I must say that I am very impressed. The food was very goods but what struck me the most was the service. We arrived as a group of 11 people and were quickly sat at a nice big table in a back room. The server was very friendly and helpful. The waitress took our order and in a very short time we were all served and enjoying our meals. Nice difference with another restaurant we frequent where someone could be done eating before everyone was served. Thumbs up, we will frequent this place again. Highly recommended.”

“I highly recommend this family owned, friendly (feels like home) local business I. Downtown Brockville. The home made soups are delicious. I tried the cheddar broccoli soup, so soothing for the soul with the famous curry chicken sandwich. Who would have thought it could be so mouth watering delicious 😋 My daughter had the egg salad and has also had the tuna. Both scored delicious. The atmosphere is so friendly and feels like home. I had the pleasure to witness a frequent customer, coming back and bringing a pack of diapers for one of the employees new baby. Paying it forward! How kind is that! The show friends vibe at its finest! Don’t forget to purchase some of those homemade soups for take home. They are

“Food was fantastic, little bit on the pricier side but you get what you pay for. home made egg rolls stuffed with filling, noodle and rice dishes are fully stacked into the containers, chicken balls were great as well.
