“We tried Lorenzo's Southside for the first time last night for takeout. It was excellent! The Calamari Fritti was hand-breaded and unique in flavor, not your run-of-the-mill calamari. I had the Veal Milanese, which was tender and outstanding; the arugula and balsamic made the dish seem light while the Stracciatella added just the right amount of creaminess and balance. My husband had the Gnocchi Brasata; the short rib and sauce were incredibly flavorful although the gnocchi was slightly denser than expected but still delicious. I also had the carrot cake, which was hands-down the best I've ever eaten in my life. For the quality of the food (everything handmade), I felt the pricing was excellent. We had 2 meat entrees, 1 pasta course, 1 appetizer and 2 desserts for just over $103. I'm not sure how anyone could complain about that price. We will definitely return to Lorenzo's. Highly recommend!“

“Had a great lunch at the Mayfield Grill with my wife today. The French onion was soup was delicious. My wife had a amaretto sour to start off with, which I stole a few sips from her because it was really good. The Bacon Blue Burger was probably the best in the area. I really love a good crumble blue cheese, especially on a burger. Can’t wait to go back and have it again.“

“Attention my fellow Canadian's who may be traveling through Amsterdam NY on the I90! Stop into Joe's Family Pizza just 4 mins off the NY State Thur-way. Their pizza is to die for! I've had a lot of pizza but theirs is so fresh and amazing. Go see for yourself!“

“Almost let the outside of the place chase is away..... boy would that have been a big mistake. As soon as you walk in, there is a bar. The bar was filled with locals however, most were friendly and said hello as we walked past. The seating area is small, but quaint. You felt like you were at your old uncle Nino's house. The Wait staff were friendly and courteous, but more importantly, the food was fantastic. Coming from an Italian girl who makes her own sauce, their sauce was a work of art! My highly recommend that if you're in Amsterdam that you've popped in for a taste.“

“Parking: It is street parking or a parking lot down the street only . We found a spot so was good.I want to address the food. We had to wait a little longer than anticipated for our pizza…but they offered wings on them because of that. We were so impressed with the service they provided! The pizza and the wings were delicious!!!We will definitely be back!“

“Being from Amsterdam, this is the only original pizza places left that are family owned and maintained the quality of evey thing they make, especially the pizza! I have traveled the world and there are very few places that even come close to their pizza and the other food served there. Even if your driving thru Amsterdam, shame on you if you don't try their food, especially their pizza!Vegetarian options: No issues here with the variety of toppings they offer.“

“First time ordering and WOW! We have always seen their signs around town and decided to give it a try. Took a look at the menu and decided on the artichoke and tomato pizza. Go bold on the first order. Someone new was training who took our order and they did great, btw!!! The pizza was ready on time and wonderful. Perfectly crusty on the bottom filled with the toppings, everything was seasoned well and tasted amazing. You have a new regular customer for sure. Can’t wait to try more items on the menu.“

“We did a pick-up order tonight, and it was excellent. We had a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza. A full order of angel hair pasta with garlic, oil, and mushroom (which can feed 4 people) with a side salad. Nice job, House of Pizza! I also added some pictures of a current menu as I couldn't find a complete one online. You're welcome.“

“Old business, family owned, and killer food! Seafood bisque with chunks of seafood was excellent, followed by linguine and clam sauce. I barely finished it, but I did! Chuck full of clams and clam meat. Again, Excellent. Great atmosphere watching the regulars come and go. Great place that probably flies under the radar. Don't hesitate the make a trip there.“

“Not fancy, had to wait for pizza and wings, but it was truly worth the wait! The pizza, onions and peppers with sausage, mild buffalo crispy chicken wings, and mozzarella sticks, all deserve a 5 star rating. I will be visiting again and I will spread the word ❤️❤️❤️❤️“

“Amazing experience all around! We’ve been here numerous times for the icecream, which is unmatched in taste, size and price, but this time we got a small 6 cut cheese pizza too and it was SO good! Dough was homemade and so fresh. The pizza was huge! Great customer service, very friendly staff. They have a large shaded pavilion to sit under and eat. Highly recommend!“

“The place is still open. I just received the confirmation. It was only closed for a week or so. Vacation, I guess. Sorry, I thought it was closed, as it happened with many restaurants around the area because the pandemic. It is located across the CDTA bus stop S. Main St and Market St. So, now you know it is still open. Go there and enjoy the delicious pizza they prepare there. Don't forget to be nice to the people working there, otherwise, they will give you a big smile in return..... An free of cost.Love you Riverside Pizza ???.“

“I heard good things, turns out they were true.I've never been big on mall fast food locations, but I needed a little something to fill the dinner slot of a day off from work and Kennedy's is right down the street.Put my order in on site, as I learned my lesson about using their online service. (they leave it running even on their days they are closed, so be warned) Went for the 12 piece of garlic parm boneless wings and an order of the onion rings, had to wait about 15 minutes while it was made but business seemed to be a bit slow so they didn't have everything running I guess. After I got it home and opened it up I was surprised how dry the wings looked, as a typical order of garlic parm wings are usually so wet. Not a bad thing, just surprised. Which i think may be because they oven bake the wings after they fry them, which results in a far better texture. It was quite nice. The onion rings were very much a text book onion ring, heavily reminded me of the kind you can get from Burger King but much less oily.So yeah, overall, I was impressed. I probably still won't make this a common stop on my off days, but hey, it worked.“

“Today we had my Daughters Baby Shower at the Lyon Street Bar and Grill. The owner Dan Nelli was hands on, making sure everything was perfect .The venue was bright and spacious and comfortably accommodated the 65 attendees .The food was hot, homemade and delicious,Mr. Nelli went above and beyond by providing Macaroni and Cheese after noticing the many young children in attendance. The waitress who served our party was outstanding! I recommend the Lyon Street Bar and Grill for any special occasion you are celebrating. We will definitely use this venue for our next family event.“

“Food was great and the woman that served is was wonderful. Everything was nice, aside from two of the workers getting into an argument and shoving match in clear view of the dining room. Not exactly comfortable eating at a table while staff is acting like they are moments away from brawling next to the fryers.“

“I really like it here because they have a good menu selection. The prices are reasonable in comparison to other similar places. It's a hometown kind of restaurant where everyone knows everyone else. It's a " hey, hello, how have you been" kind of greeting every time you walk in. That's nice. I particularly enjoy their subs. Fresh bread and a good amount of meat on the sub. I've also enjoyed the antipasto salad with their homemade Italian dressing. It really is like my grandmother used to make and that was a favorite too. The owner Frank is always there with a smile on his face and it is always busy in there. I would recommend trying this place if you haven't already.“
