Front River Cafe is a new and welcoming woman-owned community space in the South BX. This cafe is a thoroughly welcome addition to the neighborhood, a place where everyone is welcomed. It is beautifully decorated, cozy, and feels like home. The cafe hosts a ton of events centered on networking, health, and education for the BIPOC community.
The drinks, sandwiches, and pastries are delicious. Customers love the DEEELISH Bronx Sando and the savory cup of coffee. The matcha is great, and the matcha with lavender is absolutely divine: smooth, subtly floral, and perfectly balanced. The menu has simple, tasty sandwiches that pair beautifully with any drink.
The staff and owners are kind, and the service is great. The cafe has a warm and inclusive energy, with a rare “third space” vibe that is comfy and inviting. It is a win win for quality and quantity, and is unbelievably affordable with no sticker shock. Front River Cafe is the new favorite neighborhood cafe and a go-to spot for a 10/10 experience.
