Emma's Torch Reviews
Today was Chef Ruslan's Menu Takeover and he did NOT disappoint! His Nomad Pie was phenomenal- the mix of savory beef and onions paired with that tart pomegranate reduction was perfection. We had great cocktails here. Prices are fair and the staff was wonderful. They took time to chat with me before opening when I had tons of questions about their mission. They do great work.

Emma's Torch is a cafe located at Grand Army Plaza, known for its great coffee and inspiring mission. The staff are refugees learning culinary skills, which adds a meaningful touch to the experience. However, some customers feel the service can be inconsistent, especially when too many staff members work shifts, leading to less focus. There are concerns about policies that separate men and women in handling customers, which some see as discrimination. Overall, the cafe offers a warm atmosphere with a strong social purpose, but service quality and policies may vary depending on the day.
