We were looking for a place to hang for a while before dinner and found gair. The location is incredible…right under the Manhattan Bridge (lots of insta picture takers outside).
We had a couple of young ish kids with us who had burgers (looked great, but we didn’t have them as we had dinner reservations elsewhere) and some sides. We had bespoke drinks from the menu that were excellent!

I love this space, and I wanted to finally make a review! All honesty...food could be better, but drinks are bomb. I went in yesterday and was greeted by a really nice and attentive host, so shoutout to him! Even though they were out of the strawberry fizz which I thought would've been great for my sweeter pallet, Mae recommended me the princess peach which has a nice sweet aftertaste to it. This place is a vibe. The drinks Aiden made were amazing. He also offered great bartender conversation. Mei was also great in creating a vibe. This is a great solo or date spot.

Gair is a highly recommended spot by the DUMBO waterfront, known for its excellent service and top notch food. The space is beautiful, with impressive DUMBO views and architectural details. It works well for groups, making it a great spot for a birthday or small group celebration.
The food is a hit. For brunch, the shakshuka, burger, and pancakes are fantastic. Starters like the guacamole, fish and shallot dips, and olives are delicious and easy to share. The burgers and fries and lava cake are also out of this world. The bar serves excellent drinks, with favorites including the Peruvian Sour, Cosmo Verde, and the Bangkok cocktail. The bartenders are experts and precise in their craft.
The staff is super friendly, attentive, and goes above and beyond. They handle logistics smoothly and create a pleasant atmosphere with good vibes. The atmosphere is clean, intentional, bright, and positive. It is a welcoming place, even for pups. The location is great, just one step away from the Brooklyn Bridge viewing area. The experience at Gair is thoughtful, well run, and genuinely supportive. It is a favorite bar where guests often stay until close, having a wonderful time.
