A taste of my childhood, which has never been replicated arrived timely, efficiently packed and downright delicious. It took me back to Getels on the lower east side where I grew up. The babka is to die for, black and whites excellent for parve and bow ties with coffee amazing. Customer service: Excellent. You have a regular costumer and thank you for giving me back the bakery of my youth!

Ridiculously delicious cookies.. baked in that magical old school way, not too sweet or heavy, addictive to the point I can't let myself eat too many at once or I ruin my lunch/dinner and I even hide the container.
In Manhattan at Zabars UWS you might be lucky enough to find the variety cookie containers in the fresh baked goods on the tall shelves, center isle across from the registers nut shop early before they sell out.

Gertel's Bake Shoppe is a beloved bakery known for its ridiculously delicious cookies, baked in an old school way that makes them addictive but not overly sweet.
