“This is one of my go to Haitian restaurants. They always have everything that’s on their menu. The food is consistently good. Im so happy that the owner kept the restaurant open despite her husband passing during covid. Wish they would get on uber eats/apps.“

“First time trying Haitian patties. The crust was phenomenal! Buttery and flaky! I tried the cod patty for something different, but the filling wasn’t my favorite. The girl serving was ok, no space for dining in and they’re pretty busy. I wish they had a vegetable party but maybe it was out of stock at the time.“

“This restaurant shows cost consciousness. The employee was cheerful while explaining what dishes contained. The restaurant is in a bustling area. You'll be satisfied with both portion and price. All in all, it's impressive and terrific !!!“

“They're a little hole in the wall mom and pop restaurant. There is nothing remarkable about it. The customer service is lackluster. They need to recruit someone one to teach them on how customer service works, and maybe their business can go to the next level. However, the food is AMAZING!!!“

“The food was amazing and the service was fast. The service was okay but I could see the workers getting very frustrated with customer requests. The food was fresh and very tasty! The line was to the door when I arrived which made me believe the food was a local favorite spot. First time here and definitely plan on flying back out to try out some stuff I missed like the fresh daily soup and lalo! Prices were amazing and I can’t wait to come back and also tell some folk I know!“

“I am sure their food, style, pricing approach will provoke debates but I just tried to enjoy every moment. To me, presentation and feeling special plays a part to the whole experience. The food was not bad but i was not going to break down every components on the plates. I have to give credit to the chef to be so creative in how he uses the ingredients. The higher the price, the higher the publicity, the higher people expectations are so they will need to keep up with our expectations to continue to push the boundary and surprises.“

“10/10 Lovely people & amazing food. I placed my order through Uber Eats and followed up with a call to see if I could switch some items around & it was not a problem ! My food came freshly cooked with great flavor. My hubby also stopped by this restaurant weeks prior & was treated kindly & served as he dined in. We are deeply appreciative of the amazing customer service & great taste that Fresh Venus delivers !“

“I keep coming back because they have EVERYTHING and it’s GOOD Haitian food! Very authentic and the portions for the price is amazing! THIS PLACE WAS CASH ONLY!!!!!!! BUT NOW THEY TAKE CASH OR CARD!!!!I am Jamaican but I loveeeee Haitian djon djon! The people who put 1 star and are complaining about the service. I can’t speak for them but I come here ALL the time and I have never experienced being rushed or anyone having a bad attitude. It is BROOKLYN, NY and NOSTRAND & NEWKIRK AT THAT! When you walk in make sure someone sees you and ASK IF THEY READY TO TAKE YOUR ORDER. Many speak only Kreyol but I only speak English but I am SURE about what I want. If I ever had questions on how they sell their food they usually answer it. In NYC you need to be assertive!! We as a people are NOT necessarily RUDE but we are not overly friendly smiley people in general. I hope they DO NOT shut the place down & this place is also not a dine in place. Come in make eye contact with someone ! Make sure no one skips you and if someone BEHIND the counter doesn’t look busy ASK THEM IF THEY ARE READY TO TAKE YOUR ORDER & BE READY TO ORDER…simple !“

“I used to visit this location in 2011 when I was in High School to get some Haitian food. I loved the food.
The last time I visited for some Haitian patties at the last minute. The lady greeted me and helped me out right away when it was my turn. A bit pricey, but since it was last minute I couldn’t complain. Maybe next time I’ll review the taste, this time the patties weren’t mine.
Parking: Street parkings are available depends on the time. I park next to the supermarket, it seems like a great place to park since people are coming and leaving fast“

“The food is always good. The service can always be better. They don't always have what is on the menu & so you have to ask. It's a hole in the wall, but part of a chain. These little establishments are where you find the best food, though.“

“Everytime I come here, it feels like home. From the food, music even down to the news. I always recommend coming to eat here. I usually get the black rice, chicken, and legume and my husband gets the same thing as well as the paté. I also love the fact tht it's a family owned business. I will always recommend ppl to go there especially if they never have Haitian food before this is the place to go ????“

“Beautiful atmosphere! We were visiting Brooklyn NY and was looking for a nice Caribbean restaurant and there was Lago Kache restaurant! The staff were very friendly plus there was beautiful music playing in the background while waiting for our food. The wait wasn’t too long, which was great because we were starving. The only thing I can comment on is the fact that their soft drink menu was limited to 2 or 3 different juices, that’s it! No papaya juice, no soursop juice when I was there. Other than that, I had a really great experience at Kache. Go check them out if you’re in Brooklyn!“
“It is the best place to get Haitian patties for all occasions. The good thing about this place is that they always have fresh baked patties ready to go, they never sell you leftovers patties. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. They also sell fresh Haitian breads and miniature patties.“

“I grew up with the place. Although I no longer live in Brooklyn. It's always good going back and getting my favorites here.
Sometimes, it takes a minute for the food to come out, but it's worth it because it's actually fresh. Not your pre- prep fast food. Good old authentic Haitian culture food and drinks.
It's well money spent not overpriced. I personally buy in bulks because I'm coming from Nassau.
And lastly, don't let some of the pictures on here, fooI you. I forgot to take one of the stores. It's been upgraded. ❤️?“

“Stepping into DjonDjon in Brooklyn, I was immediately struck by the inviting atmosphere – and even better, finding parking was fairly easy, a definite plus in this vibrant borough! I came in with high hopes, and DjonDjon delivered beautifully.
Our server, Julissa (I hope I'm spelling that right!), was an absolute delight – attentive, friendly, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
I opted for the DjonDjon Burger and it was fantastic. The patty was juicy and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the fresh toppings. But what truly elevated the meal were the sides: the Green Plantains were perfectly fried to a golden crisp, sweet and utterly addictive, while the Black Rice was rich, savory, and incredibly satisfying. Every bite was a testament to the authentic flavors DjonDjon brings to the table.
Based on my experience, DjonDjon is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Haitian cuisine. With its fantastic food, great service from people like Julissa, and convenient parking, it's a gem in Brooklyn. Thank you ❤️“
