I went there to get legume ak lambi for my Haitian wife and she was a little disappointed because they didn't include the plantains as they USUALLY do. When she called about it she was told they ran out but it was only 3.30pm and they charged full price. She thought they could've taken off a dollar or two but the lady kept insisting the price is $15. I don't think that was fair for a cash paying good customer. How you gonna charge full price and YOU ran out of food?
First of all, the owner is one of the most gentlemanly people I've ever met. We went here on New Year's Day for soup, of course, and we decided to get a bunch of other food. The New Year's soup was amazing. Like something I would imagine a grandmother making. The food is also delicious. Perfectly seasoned and hearty. I had the conch, and it hit the spot. I'd love to go back soon.
