“Awesome! Great, hip, funky and adorable location for one of Brooklyn’s legendary Bakeries. Great spot on a block that appreciates and celebrates Our local Cultural Mosaic like almost no other in Little Carribean. (maybe the block of Nostrand with Allan’s & Labay Market on it competes. ❤️“

“I finally decided to try this place after walking by it dozens of times and I wish I did sooner. The veggie bouillon is delicious and I've been craving it almost every day since I've had it. The veggies were expertly cooked and tender and the legume patty was large and delicious and a steal at $3 during lunch. I've since returned for the pumpkin soup and spinach patty which I didn't enjoy quite as much but were still good. Great place to stop for lunch or a patty to snack on. Clearly labeled vegan options which I always appreciate“

“So, I saw this restaurant on Instagram, and I just had to see for myself. I was not disappointed. I am a born and raised Jamaican, and when I tell you Haitians are one of the best cooks on the planet, just know you're missing out if you haven't tried an authentic Haitian dish. This restaurant is located in Caton Market in Flatbush. I ordered the griot tacos with all the toppings and an order of plantain fries with griot ??? It was delicious. The young lady that took my order was so pleasant, and I love that. Great energy, great location, great service, and most of all, great food. I will be back again“

“They're a little hole in the wall mom and pop restaurant. There is nothing remarkable about it. The customer service is lackluster. They need to recruit someone one to teach them on how customer service works, and maybe their business can go to the next level. However, the food is AMAZING!!!“

“I stop by there once in a blue Moon due to some duties related to pay a close look on Garbage disposal . There is an outdoors dining ( in quotes ) area & I chill under if it is raining , cold or I need to keep up with my homework.
Parking: Target building , non metered & paid two hours street parking.“

“I keep coming back because they have EVERYTHING and it’s GOOD Haitian food! Very authentic and the portions for the price is amazing! THIS PLACE WAS CASH ONLY!!!!!!! BUT NOW THEY TAKE CASH OR CARD!!!!I am Jamaican but I loveeeee Haitian djon djon! The people who put 1 star and are complaining about the service. I can’t speak for them but I come here ALL the time and I have never experienced being rushed or anyone having a bad attitude. It is BROOKLYN, NY and NOSTRAND & NEWKIRK AT THAT! When you walk in make sure someone sees you and ASK IF THEY READY TO TAKE YOUR ORDER. Many speak only Kreyol but I only speak English but I am SURE about what I want. If I ever had questions on how they sell their food they usually answer it. In NYC you need to be assertive!! We as a people are NOT necessarily RUDE but we are not overly friendly smiley people in general. I hope they DO NOT shut the place down & this place is also not a dine in place. Come in make eye contact with someone ! Make sure no one skips you and if someone BEHIND the counter doesn’t look busy ASK THEM IF THEY ARE READY TO TAKE YOUR ORDER & BE READY TO ORDER…simple !“

“I used to visit this location in 2011 when I was in High School to get some Haitian food. I loved the food.
The last time I visited for some Haitian patties at the last minute. The lady greeted me and helped me out right away when it was my turn. A bit pricey, but since it was last minute I couldn’t complain. Maybe next time I’ll review the taste, this time the patties weren’t mine.
Parking: Street parkings are available depends on the time. I park next to the supermarket, it seems like a great place to park since people are coming and leaving fast“

“Today we came to eat at this place and it was so amazing. I am not Haitian but the food was so delicious. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture of the plate. As I eat the black rice it was so good and also it’s very good to be together with people who welcome you with opened arms. Definitely recommend this place. If there was more starts I would definitely give it a 10.
Kid-friendliness: Good for children to go eat a good meal.“

“I am sure their food, style, pricing approach will provoke debates but I just tried to enjoy every moment. To me, presentation and feeling special plays a part to the whole experience. The food was not bad but i was not going to break down every components on the plates. I have to give credit to the chef to be so creative in how he uses the ingredients. The higher the price, the higher the publicity, the higher people expectations are so they will need to keep up with our expectations to continue to push the boundary and surprises.“

“Everytime I come here, it feels like home. From the food, music even down to the news. I always recommend coming to eat here. I usually get the black rice, chicken, and legume and my husband gets the same thing as well as the paté. I also love the fact tht it's a family owned business. I will always recommend ppl to go there especially if they never have Haitian food before this is the place to go ????“

“Since I lived in Virginia now there isn't any Haitian bakery. I came across La Baguette shop on Google and they will have a very high rating for their store. I went to the store and a young lady was very helpful and very understanding. Even though my Creole was off a little bit she was still able to understand it.“
“It is the best place to get Haitian patties for all occasions. The good thing about this place is that they always have fresh baked patties ready to go, they never sell you leftovers patties. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. They also sell fresh Haitian breads and miniature patties.“

“A nice small no frills place. If you're looking for a quiet meal I'd suggest going here.I called ahead of time to see if they had piklez & was excited to find it they did. When arriving here, I was greeted by the owner, a nice man who I later found out prepared all the food himself. The food was amazing & the proportions were generous. I ordered the Groit with rice & plantains everything was made to order & came out HOT. The owner was extremely accomidating sending me home with Extra Piklez. I'd definitely visit here again.“

“The quality of the food is satisfactory, the ambiance is pleasant, and the staff are courteous. I have rated the establishment with four stars because despite it being a buffet-style restaurant, the waiting time between ordering and receiving the food can range from fifteen to twenty-five minutes.“

“I’ve been going to Lago Kache for quite some
times ,and it has truly been an incredible experience! From the moment you step inside, you will be struck by the beautiful atmosphere. The decor is thoughtfully designed, creating a warm and inviting space that makes you feel right at home. It’s definitely a place to die for!
Now, let’s talk about the food. It has consistently been outstanding! Each dish is prepared with care and bursting with flavor. You can really tell that the ingredients are fresh and of high quality, making every bite worth every penny. One of the highlights of my visits is their Bouillon Night on Monday nights, which is absolutely fantastic! The rich, flavorful broth combined with a variety of ingredients and flavorful meat makes it a must-try for anyone who goes there.
I’ve known Rob for years, and it’s always a pleasure to see him at the restaurant. He is not only friendly but also incredibly humble. His passion for Lago Kache and dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience shine through in every detail.
Overall, I highly recommend Lago Kache to anyone looking for a delicious Haitian cuisine in a stunning setting in Mill Basin. Trust me, You won’t be disappointed!“

“The best Haitian restaurant I found yet. The food is always delicious (especially the tassot fritalle) and their prices are affordable. It's best to call and order about 15-30 mins in advance, so when you arrive it's ready and hot... Love this place!“
