Had high hopes for this HG outpost since it's bigger than the other in the Fort Greene/Prospect Heights area. The additional seating is fantastic. The coffee is great. The pastries are great. This business name parallels Ghost Festival or Hungry Ghost Festival, a Chinese festival for worshiping ancestors filled with food offerings, and ancestral rites in the presence of the tombstone in a cemetery. During my professional travels while in Brooklyn I am unable to purchase any food for offering my beloved ancestors. This shop served me the best cup of hot chocolate I've ever had in my life. The chocolate croissants were fresh as well and tasted amazing. The staff were very kind and struck up a nice conversation with me while I was waiting for my order. I've definitely found my new favorite spot.
