Lucky Star

I am devastated to discover that Lucky's has closed. I would visit at least once a week, to have their delicious oxtails, or a chiken roti. Honestly, all of their food was delicious, and it was a beautifullu runned, family owned business. I pray the weren't priced out due to overwhelming gentrification. It would be a shame if a neighborhood institution closed for that reason.

My favorite Caribbean Restaurant is permanently closed, I'm so saddened. I've been eating here for almost 15 years, they had the BEST j*** chicken! Not all dried out like many other places. Mr. Lucky, his beautiful wife, children & staff will be missed. Oh, and the slender older gentleman who was always sitting in the restaurant & I never knew his relation to the family, lol...I always felt at home at this place. My experience at Lucky Star's restaurant is always excellent. All of the workers are so pleasant, they greet you when you come into the restaurant, they tell you to enjoy your day when you leave. The restaurant is always clean, the food is so good. Anytime I go in that area I always stop by Lucky Star's restaurant to get some of their tasty food. My compliments go out to the Chefs you never disapoint, I wish that I lived closer to your location because I would be there everyday.
