Mill Basin Deli offers a classic New York diner experience, showcasing preserved 70s and 80s decor. While the service may not be lightning fast, it gets the job done. The deli meats are salty but delicious, with thin-cut pastrami that is considered one of the greatest in NYC. The Superhuman sandwich is a must-try and is known for its obvious flavor and quality. The hot dogs, including the one topped with onions, are good, and the variety of soups, sandwiches, salads, burgers, and appetizers add to the menu's appeal. Popular appetizers like kasha varnishkes and mushroom barley are worth trying, and the matzo ball soup with noodles is very good, though it is recommended to serve the matzo ball in a separate container.
