I've been shopping here, probably 2 or 3 times a month, for nearly 20 years. I come for very particular things: - best yoghurt in the city (seven stars) - best loaf of sandwich bread in the city (bread alone) - bulk grains (brown rice, muesli, etc.) - sometimes international foods (great kimchi, tofu, seaweed) or particular products - fluoride-free toothpaste, plastic-free toiletries - sometimes fruit - a gallon of organic milk for $10! I am obsessed with Perelandra! It is the best health food store I've been to in NYC (and possibly anywhere in the northeast?) A must-visit if you're vegan (although they offer non-vegan products too). They have an amazing, extensive selection of homemade items including baked goods, sandwiches and other prepared cold foods, and a hot bar (that I think is only operational on weekdays). Ordered lunch here through doordash and it came suuuuper quick. Went with the eggplant pesto sandwich on French bread and it was delicious! Fresh ingredients, perfect temp & flavorful. They have lots of plant based foods that I can't wait to try next. Will definitely be ordering from here again soon
