Rico Chimi Brooklyn Reviews
If you like Dominican food I suggest giving this place a few tries and everything pictured in the menu comes out looking exactly like it and the taste is just as good. Great patient staff with me my first time and I can't wait to go back to try other interesting looking dishes. Very clean and presentable 5 star indeed
The food was meh. I liked the fact that the empanada had a good amount of chicken and was a reasonable price. The beef chimi I had was a bit bland and honestly nothing special about it. The meat was meh. The sauce meh. I was more excited about the coke with the empanada than the chimi itself is saying something. The service though was great. Rico Chimi Brooklyn serves Dominican old school goodies. Customers order mini mofonguitos, Pollo con queso, pizza empanada, Jugo de chinola, flan, and quipes. The mini mofonguitos were good, but not the best. Empanadas had more chicken than cheese and were a little dry; pizza empanada was average. The flan was delicious, perfect, not too sweet or bland. Drinks were good. Some service issues were noted: an employee charged extra for steak and gave ground beef; staff attitude was harsh until tipped. Still, staff are friendly, quick, and make orders to taste. Beef is well seasoned, cabbage crunchy, and bread toasted. A mouth watering chimmi and a good overall.
