I have to share my go-to empanada spot in the city - It is a chain with many locations around, making it super convenient. The lines move fast, which is perfect when you're craving a quick snack. Very friendly staff!Even though is a chain, not all Sophies make their empanadas the same sadly! But these are very good! If you're into empanadas give this place a shot.
I had always passed the restaurant but never stopped as I was thinking over thick, slice hero bread with tons of meat stuffed inside, I saw a sign that said Empanadas so I went in and realized I was completely wrong about this restaurant. Sophie's has the best oxtail in the area.It is falling off the bone and it comes with up to 3 sides which makes for a great meal. The sweet plantain is a very good side, so is the yucca. There are also healthy salad and beet sides so you can mix things up.All of the food is seasoned and has flavor.Their green sauce is nice if you need some spice without being too hot.Order on their website instead of Uber or other apps. Those apps are like $4 more for everything.
