Thanh Đa Reviews
If you looking for authentic Vietnamese food, you will not be disappointed.
Bahn mi is so good and fresh, the fried spring roll is delicious (small order is not enough), and Ban Xel is my go to dish. Iced Vietnamese coffee is sweet and strong.
I stopped by here for a quick lunch because I was craving something authentic and simple. The food really hits the spot if you are looking for classic flavors that do not break the bank. It is a super casual, no-frills kind of place, so do not expect anything fancy, but the service was fast and the portions were perfect for a hungry afternoon. I would definitely come back when I need a reliable, tasty meal on the go.
Despite the restaurant. Best bread sandwich ever.

Thanh Đa is a popular Vietnamese spot in Brooklyn, known for its delicious banh mi near 8 Av. The restaurant is a hole-in-the-wall that offers a satisfying experience with friendly owners and staff. The #1 House Special Banh Mi is a must-try, featuring roasted pork, ham, cold cut, pickled carrots and radish, and cucumber, all stuffed inside a toasted baguette. The banh mi is made to order and typically takes around 10 minutes, allowing for customization with jalapeno for extra spice. While the fillings may not be overflowing, they are sufficient and fill the bread roll well. Thanh Đa also serves excellent Vietnamese coffee, Thanh Đa Coffee, which is dark roasted and rich in caffeine. The coffee has a robust flavor and can be adjusted for sweetness. Although prices may have risen, the food remains great. However, the restaurant's seating area is currently closed, and it is only offering takeout. This spot is still considered a worthwhile choice for a meal despite some concerns about customer service and ingredient portions.
