Zoli is a best new food emporium in New York City. The gritty neighborhood makes the restaurant appealing and the vibe relaxed. Sophistication arrives with seafood and cuisine at the highest standards. The meal last night was outstanding, from razor clams to halibut and amazing chocolate cake. Two glasses of great red wine topped the evening off. The Bison was a show stopper and the fish and seafood were over the top, a piece of art. The Rhubarb ice cream also topped the evening off. The space is INCREDIBLE, stunning and spectacular, with a casual lively vibe that is not too scene‑y. Service is wonderful, impeccable and solicitous. Highlights include razor clams with pickled lemons and dill, morel mushrooms, monkfish with harissa sauce, duck hearts, fluke tartare, house made kombucha, roasted strawberry margarita, bread and butter, side of fries, chocolate cake and cheesecake desserts. Prices are reasonable for small plates about $18 and entrees $50‑60, and the quality justifies the price. The experience is special, great to celebrate a special occasion.
