“Spent the first weekend in October, going to different wineries around Seneca Lake on both the east side and west side. This one was by far one of the best. The atmosphere is great, the service wonderful! The wine samplings were perfect, and the food was the best that we had at any Vineyard. We got the wings, which were probably some of the best I have ever had anywhere, olive appetizer and their chicken sandwich with potato wedges. Everything was cooked perfectly! And so so tasty!

“Stopped in for lunch this time over the summer. It is always very busy here. Located right on the main strip in Watkins glen. I have been to this location several times. The BBQ is pretty good. Love the outdoor seating. It is pet friendly. Oftentimes there are dogs on the outdoor patio seating.“

“This is the first winery I had ever gone to. We were staying in Watkins Glenn and wanted to try one of the many wineries in the area. We happened to pick this one because it was fairly close. What luck! It turns out Hazlitt is one of the larger wine producers in the area and the makers of a super famous line of wines called Red Cat. The tasting room was a great experience. The person who led the tasting was very friendly and informative. We liked most of the wines and ended up buying a number of bottles to take along. I highly recommend this winery if you are in the Seneca Lake area. If you aren't from New York, make sure you buy LOTs of bottles before you leave because this wine is almost impossible to find in other states. I had to order some on-line to replenish my stock!“

“Stopped here on our way through and it was FANTASTIC! First, I’ll start with the service. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We both had steak and eggs and the quality and cook on the steaks was absolutely perfect. The sirloin steaks we had tasted more like filet mignon and the eggs were super fresh! Some reviews complain about service, but I think people come in with unrealistic expectations— this isn’t fine dining, it’s a small local café with amazing food and down to earth people. “Today I was really in the mood for swamp fries. So I packed the family and headed out to prisebox. we got there and the owner handed my daughter the pad of paper to take orders and had her right it down and the prices and then add the total up. This is fantastic in my eyes and the whole crew of people are always so friendly and caring. I love going and eating there when we can. I highly recommend the Prisebox where your prise is in the box as they say on their sign. Keep up the great work and will be back again soon. God bless you all“

“We had a great time at the Lucky Hare last week. The staff made such an impression…so warm, friendly and fun! And the food was delicious! Trey makes phenomenal chili, and sent us home with some Manhattan clam chowder that was the best we’ve ever had! Can’t wait to visit again.“

Sampled a wine flight of Reislings and all 3 wines were excellent. The pour and presentations were exceptional. The whole Glenora complex was beautiful. Strongly considering a return trip in November to celebrate our anniversary. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to the Seneca Lake Wine Trail.“

“We stopped in yesterday and had a nice bottle of wine. Assistant Wine Maker Rhett Seeley stopped by to chat. Never met him before, but he was passing by and we asked him for some recommendations. He was extremely helpful and friendly. We ended up buying the wines he recommended as well as some beautiful garlic, a bag of coffee and some wine glasses! They are known for their dry reds and they did not disappoint. I highly recommend adding Hector Wine Company to your list of stops along the wine trail.“

“Their food is good, service is fast, and it’s pretty cheap! The cheese pizza and buffalo chicken pizza were both flavorful and good sized slices. They had two almost full cases of pizzas and calzones to choose slices from and we were served right away. Three slices and a drink came out to $14. The only minor complaint is that it’s a little too greasy, but nothing out of the ordinary for chain pizza.“

“We held our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner here on Thursday and the experience from beginning to end was off the charts amazing! Kathy was very responsive and great to work with. Absolutely went above and beyond. Food was delicious and the service was fabulous. Everyone was still raving about it the next day! Would recommend this place to anyone looking to hold a similar event. Not ridiculously overpriced like most places once the word “wedding” is used.
