I’d been waiting weeks to finally visit Black Walnut and it completely lived up to the hype. We had cocktails in the front near the perfectly curated home store before dinner and were pleasantly surprised with how delicious they were. Highly recommended the melon Negroni and the mint tea cassis cocktail. From the charred snap peas to the fluke
crudo to the roasted chicken, there's not one ingredient chef Camille cannot turn into a delicious dish. And everything is sourced locally and it shows. Can't wait to go back! Also, shout out to the wine list, it's really solid for such a remote location.
Every time I go to Sullivan County, I insist on having dine at Black Walnut. I have even a lot of very good food in America and beyond, and Black Walnut remains my favorite restaurant. The food is incredibly fresh and special, and everyone there is so lovely. The ambiance is of course lovely as well. It is a truly wonderful experience every time!
