“Once again great service and a great product. The only place in Canastota where you see the owner out washing tables and talking to all the customers, making them feel welcome. We had a large group of people and they were able to serve us really quickly and did it with the best of attitudes.“

“My family made the drive out to Mary's this summer as we'd heard nothing but good things about the breakfast here. Mary's is about 5 minutes outside of downtown Sylvan Beach, so easy to get to for locals or vacationers to Oneida Lake. We were seated quickly when we arrived around 8:30 on a Saturday, and were glad to get there when we did as it filled up quickly just after we got our table. Patrons have the choice of booths, tables, or up at the counter - just how a diner should be. My wife ordered the pancakes and sausage while I opted for the 3 egg breakfast (sunny side up, always) with some bacon and rye toast. My wife raved about her pancakes and was able to get sugar-free syrup with her meal. Portions were generous and food came out quickly. Our waitress was friendly and kept drink refills of water, juice, and coffee rolling. Prices are reasonable and the menu was quite large. Lunch is also available and we'd love to come out and try that sometime. Mary's succeeds in what makes a good diner worth driving to. My only drawback would be the wait to get a table on the weekend if you arrive at the wrong time. It was standing room only when we left.“

“Extremely good "drive in" summer food! The burgers were all juicy and cooked to perfection. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with peppers, onions, and cheese as well as their macaroni salad. Both items were excellent. The sandwich was so flavorful, packed with veggies, and the macaroni salad was one of the best l've had all summer. I also recommend getting their freshly brewed tea to drink because it's literally better than Dunkin's iced tea! A he have indoor seating with AC as well as outdoor seating under a large pavilion. I will definitely be coming back here again when I'm in the area!!“
