“Just moved to the area from Colorado, and I’m so happy to have found this gem right away. First visit I got pistachio ice cream which was 10/10. Second visit I got a peanut butter milkshake that was so incredible I had to immediately post a review to rave about it. 15/10. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t give a higher recommendation for those looking for a little sweet treat!“

“My husband and I love Perry's Ice Cream. Although Hilltop Ice Cream no longer carries the almond milk non-dairy vanilla or cookies and cream flavors they do have a nice lemon sorbet. Catching up with neighbors as you enjoy your chosen flavor adds human interaction to the experience. I recommend the queen of hearts, my husband loves white lightning, both are dark chocolate bases. In the stores you can't beat orange dark chocolate twist or bittersweet symphony. ??“

“The highlight of our wedding three months ago was the Gannon’s Homemade Ice Cream cart—I’m craving another scoop of the Cookie Smash (that is gluten free) right now! Working with Jules was easy and she was very responsive. We had a blast sampling ice cream flavors at their location on Valley Drive. The staff was great and let us try so many flavors to help us settle on the six we picked for our wedding. The young man who worked at our wedding was very kind and polite. Did a great job setting up the ice cream cart and topping station during the dinner portion of our reception. Looking at the photos, I think he had a great time. He also let us put on some gloves to scoop our first ice cream Sundays as husband and wife. If you’re looking for delicious homemade ice cream and a crowd pleaser, book Gannon’s Homemade Ice Cream Cart for your wedding or event.“

“Watermelon Gelati...
Yes, please, and thank you. Their Italian ice flavors include lemon, cherry, blue raspberry and they also had watermelon. Since they do Gelati, I figured why not.
My goodness, it is so refreshing. It makes me think of real watermelon with whipped cream, only better.
I highly recommend trying it. For reference, pictured is a small.“

“A Syracuse staple! The food, service, prices and atmosphere are all exceptional. I live about 45 minutes away, but it's worth the trip every time. Highly recommend!“
“We rented Skippy’s for my son’s birthday party today and what an awesome experience for all the kids and adults, too! Right on time with the ice cream truck and music, and lots of variety of ice creams! Highly recommend for any event :-) The owner was very reliable and answered all my questions via email. Thank you so much!“

“Wow! I thought this place was going to be social media hype! Boy was a wrong! My daughter wanted to try these cookies and they did not disappoint. The cookies we soft, chewy, and warm. The variety was impressive. These cookies were hug! We were able to share and sample all the flavors and my children loved that. The only off putting part about this place is none of the workers actually talk to or great you. We came in and no one looked up from what they were doing. (It is an open kitchen concept, so to their defense they were making cookies ) when my order was ready the person who gave us out cookies didn’t say a word to us. It felt cold. The cookies made up for the lack of customer interaction. My daughter was excited enough for the entire crew.“

“I went to the Diner for ice cream and ordered the orange dole whip and vanilla twist. It was absolutely delicious. The service was fast and polite. It was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend the Diner ice cream.
Kid-friendliness: The Diner ice cream is family friendly and has a welcoming and fun atmosphere. Perfect for families and pet friendly.“

“Listen, if we could give them 1000 stars we would. They know us by name, Bill and Amanda. We pick up 8 half gallons (aka "everybody) every couple of weeks, sometimes more. I'm not gonna get into specifics as to why we would give them more stars than Google allows because they do things specifically just for us and I dont want to cause an uproar lol. Just know from the owner (in fact, he happen to be there one day talking to us and he went out of his way to make sure we get taken care of everytime we go in there and it's frequently) right down to the everyday staff are absolutely amazing. In our world, it's the little things that make us happy, specifically cold stone ice cream. It's our mom and dad treat after the kiddos go to bed. Our one treat that we can call our own haha. We put in a movie or put on our favorite show and indulge. They have really gone out of there way to show us what true great customer service is. They've done things most places would call "too much". Just this past Sunday, they yet again did something most places wouldn't do just to make sure we got our order, got it when we wanted it and when it was convenient for us to get it. Again, all I can say is no other business I've done business with has done the things they have for us to go above and beyond the "duty" of customer service. We appreciate each and every person that works there. We've never had one bad experience. Not one. They've always stuck by there word and then some. You take care of us and we take care of you. Thanks for all that you do for us. It certainly doesn't go unnoticed. Please don't ever leave this area because we would be heartbroken. Lol“
“Best experience! I have always had issues with other places when trying to place large food orders for my kids’ birthday parties. I only chose Byrne Dairy because it was close to my venue. I was very anxious about what problems would arise per my past troubles. Everything was perfect. Food was ready on time exactly as I ordered it. It was such a relief and made the day so much easier to enjoy.“

“5-star ice cream. I drive here from Buffalo just to get ice cream, and I honestly wish they were closer, seeing as how I can rarely make it out towards Syracuse.
I’ve politely mentioned my suggestion of a closer location to the staff of these Syracuse Carvels, but they have always immediately shrugged it off.
Compare that to Rita’s Ices in Rochester, which always has the best service of any ice cream shop I’ve ever been to, and at least kindly tells me that they’ll think about it.
I don’t know any store around here that sells dry ice. I can’t transport a whole ice cream cake back home, it’ll melt on the way back! I haven’t been able to enjoy a fresh Fudgie The Whale cake. ?
But anyways, my main concern with this specific location is parking. The lot is waaaaaay too small for a whole plaza of stores. There’s like 8 stores in a plaza with 15 parking spots. I would imagine I’ll probably need to park in the Tops parking lot in the future, just to visit this store for an ice cream cone. (And I would have to walk across a busy intersection, as well!)
The problematic parking lot often dissuades me from visiting this location, and I end up going to the Brewerton Road location more often than not.
Of course, there’s constantly crazed Dunkin Donuts drivers in that Brewerton parking lot trying to do 30 in a 5 MPH lot…but considering I drive so far for a cup of soft serve, I’ll take what I can get. ?“
