I recently had a great dinner at Ruby Begonia’s! Knowing this was mainly “Southern style” cooking and having to stick to a gluten free diet, I was assuming I would be very limited with meal options. I was very wrong! Our waitress and the chef were very willing to work with me to be sure I was safely eating gluten free. I had the best experience at Ruby’s on my birthday. I’ve been waiting to try them, I really wanted the fried chicken and now they make one not marinated in buttermilk. My son and I sat at the bar and had great service from Erin. Pleasant conversation and atmosphere just very comfortable and enjoyable. The drinks were also fantastic, then came the food! During Oz-Stravaganza 2025, one of my over decade's worth of attendances in Authors and Artists Alley there, I attended their soft opening with my friend Lex Spoon and had their fried chicken filet and cornbread. The waitress was the owner's daughter and was a delight.
