“Finally got to Hook & Reel!! Great vibe, great food! We sat at the bar and enjoyed Danielle’s company. Rob, was an incredible insight to the short history of this restaurant and is wonderful. We chatted about the history of this type of venue in Middletown and how to survive. He gets it. While chatting, his head was on a swivel, watching his guests and crew. Rob spoke so highly about his crew, you would think they were family. I am so glad I went and enjoyed the family atmosphere. Well done team!!“

“I have been going to this Red Lobster in Middletown, NY for 15 years. The food is always amazing and I have to say that Tanya the server there is truly the best server. She is kind, friendly and caring. She is the best server I have ever had. I have been to 4 star, high end restaurants and nobody has ever come close to her. She genuinely makes you feel like your family. She wants to get to know all her guests and she gives exceptional service! I always request her and noticed all her other tables feel the same. Last week's visit at lunch 4 other tables in our area all shared the same appreciation and praises I just shared.

“What a wonderful find! We are from NYC and have a home in the Catskills, we found Giovanni’s by chance a few years ago and have been coming here ever since. In the Summer they open the outdoor garden for dining and on Wednesday night Giovanni makes amazing personal pizza’s to order from his brick oven, not only great pizza but entertaining to watch Giovanni at work. We are never disappointed in the food or portions, I live his veal parmigiana, tender, not too cheesy and melts in your mouth. The mussels marinara are amazing served with garlic bread for sopping! The lasagne is great as well, meaty in a wonderful tomato sauce. We have never been disappointed! Great service as well. The atmosphere is real mountain lodge, cozy and informal. Plenty of parking outside. The best part is the price, dinner for 4, with wine/ drinks, about $35/ person, very reasonable.“

“I had my wedding reception here on 11/22. The food was AMAZING, the loft looked gorgeous, the bar tenders and bus boys were so helpful and lovely. The bar tenders made sure my husband and I had plates of food so we remembered to eat. People kept complimenting the venue to me. Marie was amazing to deal with and I cannot think of a single thing that I would change or complain about.“

“We've been eating here since I was a kid and it's always been the best place around. In my opinion they have the best sesame chicken and it beats all the other Chinese food places! There's are always crispy with the perfect amount of sauce and heat, whereas others are always swimming in sauce! They're appetizers are also amazing. I've never been disappointed eating/getting food here (and that's been for atleast 10+ years). Always highly recommend and call ahead for an easy pick-up :)“

“Its a great late night dinner spot. Food is really good! They DO NOT skimp out on the portion they give you, you will definitely have enough to share or eat for the next day. the place is clean, staff are nice and the menu is simple. Some places have a mixture of like, 25,000 options of food. This place keeps it simple. You go in, pick what you want and you're out. There's no loud music at the times I went.“

“Usually the food is very yummy… and normally I would give 4-5 stars. I think they had an off night tonight and our pizza was kinda crappy… every slice had big bubbles… one slice was just one big bubble with no sauce or cheese. Fried dough and fried Oreos were yum though!“
