“My husband and I like to stop into the Freight Yard for a bite and a brew frequently. We enjoy the come as you are casual friendly vibe. We have always enjoyed our time and encountered wonderful service from the staff. Recently we held an adult event here and had a fantastic experience. The staff is nothing short of amazing and the environment casual and welcoming. A local, incredible spot that we love to support .”

“Wow! The Chicken Riggies were incredible- I did order standard and they had the perfect kick. Had plenty of chicken and slivers of cherry peppers- loved this. Thank you for a delicious dinner that was also my lunch. Thank you, chef. I’ll be back and will order these again next time. “We had reservations for a party of five and were seated promptly when we arrived. Our server, Maria, was at our table immediately to take our drink orders. For appetizers, we chose the Sautéed Greens and Poutine. Both excellent. For entrees, four of us chose the Filet Mignon and the fifth chose the special, NY Strip Steak. All just melted right in your mouth. This was our first time here but definitely not our last. Then to top things off, the next day I get a call from the owner, Charlie, who wanted to know how our dining experience was. You never hear of that anywhere today so you know he takes great pride in his business. I should note my daughter brought home her leftover Filet Mignon to her boyfriend who raved about it and also said it was the best he ever had.”

“This is my new favorite diner in the Syracuse area. Fast service with perfectly cooked eggs by the chef. Wait staff are attentive, helpful, and very friendly. Or you can sit at the bar in front of the chef cooking on the grill. Very entertaining if there is a seat available. Honey packets are available, if ordering hot tea. The smell and taste of those delicious peppers and onions mixed in the home fries makes them the best tasting around. They also just remodeled the building which looks great.”

“We discovered this delightful gem completely by accident while traveling through Syracuse. The atmosphere is phenomenal with bright colors, a rustic feel, while feeling metropolitan. They had plenty of seating both inside and outside and the service was fantastic. The food was EXCELLENT and well worth the price. The menu was very diverse and lengthy. They had a beautiful bar area and wonderful drink selection.”
