Ruban was absolutely amazing, one of the best in the 518. Fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. Homemade Garlic Aoli was phenomenal. Mixed drinks we decently sized, perfect alcohol to juice mixture, and tasted great. Only downside was the service, waitresses were super friendly just more focused on the bar than the tables, silverware and condiments were forgotten and had to be asked for multiple times. Atmosphere was great both inside and outside. Prices were great in comparison to other local spots.
Order: 2 Rubans w/fries, Homemade Garlic Aoli, 2 sodas, 2 mixed cocktails.

“Parking is usually easy to find on the street when I stop here. The bar has a clean and inviting atmosphere. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. The cocktails are always good. I love that they have one or two hard ciders on tap. There are plenty of beers on tap to choose from.
The bar food is always spot on. Fresh and tasty. Plus I enjoy the rotating seasonal food offerings.
There are games upstairs to explore.
In cooperating weather the patio is nice to take advantage of.
I enjoy meeting my friends here for some good laughs, drinks and food.“

“Our first time here and we couldn’t have been happier. We have been wanting to try this place and so glad we finally did. Absolutely amazing food, atmosphere and overall great experience. “Staying in the area so stopped by with a friend for a couple of drinks and dinner...food was okay, but portion size was huge at a very reasonable price and drink prices very reasonable as well. Had the chicken tenders, slightly overcooked on the outside but meat was nice and tender, but fries weren't very good, definitely overdone with way too many nasty rotten pieces in there... service was good. Would definitely return for drinks and probably would try the food again.“

“Our son was in a concert at the Cohoes City Music Hall so we went to Spindles for dinner. My son, husband, and I all had a wonderful dinner. We tried the fried deviled eggs and they were delicious. I also highly recommend any dish served with their risotto! It was the best I have had. Spindles is worth checking out!“

“First time ever!!!! Staff was incredible!!! Food was amazing ( Mac& Cheese with Chicken) The best I have ever had. Most of it came home with us. Definitely a very beautiful Irish establishment. Will definitely be coming back. Worth a 45 minute trip.“
“Out of town working, read the reviews, previous review guy walks out because Fox News was on. I was all in. I wish there was more of him around. makes my visit that much more enjoyable . if you are looking for food this is the wrong place. If you’re looking to drink and hang out and have a good time, this is it. Darts pool, Jamison and Guinness and other beers but no Bud Light. Locals are extremely friendly ,met several new friends on the first visit“

“I ordered some half trays of food from the Ravenswood catering menu for a family gathering. The food was amazing!!! So delicious and boxed so well for easy and careful transport! The staff was very friendly. I will definitely be doing it again! Highly recommend. 💕“
