Chicken Wings near College Point

“I order do through app and the address was wrong, I was texted to coordinate with the doordasher but the dasher was supposed to be a guy but a female picked up the phone and spoke no English and then when I called back she kept hanging up. I clearly wrote in the note section suite 108 in a black and yellow building. I was later texted a picture in which the food was delivered and that was not the correct address. I call the college point location to explain the issue and the person who picked up the phone did not introduce themselves so I was not able to get their name. When I explained the issue I was told they do not do refunds for web orders, then I asked for the manager and then the manager on duty that picked up the phone took my info down and then said he would call me back. The customer service is really bad at this location and this was my first time trying this location. I am still waiting for the manager to call me back.“

“Landed in the JFK airport, which is located in southside Jamaica Queens, and I was starving! I was looking for some places nearby with good ratings even though I don’t trust all the Google reviews, but this place was a 4.9 for that much reviews, somethings got to be up. Before I order the gentleman was nice enough to offer samples of jerk, chicken, and house special chicken, and they both were delicious so we ordered both
Jerk Chicken- had a hint of sweetness with the jerk spice, didn’t taste traditional, but I still enjoyed it and Wood ordered it again especially for someone who doesn’t want too much jerk heat
House Special Chicken- best way to describe this is it taste like mild hot sauce with curry seasoning, what a wonderful mix, that’s not forget the diced tomatoes, onions, cucumbers (kind of reminded me of pico de gallo minus the cucumbers) which was a refreshing balance to the mild heat of the dish, comforted by the bed of basmati yellow rice, ordered the avocado with it as well because I knew it was going to set it off!
Jerk Chicken Tacos- clever twist, luckily this was considered a side dish for me because I can eat this in two bites
Fried Chicken Quesadilla- my daughter had this, but she couldn’t finish so I decided to have the honors to finish it for her, as simple as this dish sounds, it’s not, the quesadilla was perfectly crisp, and the fried chicken itself was so buttery and crunchy, you could tell they changed their fryer oil on the regular or they use some type of special oil because I felt less guilty from the clean taste
Sauces - I forgot what they were, but one was like chipotle, the other one was like honey mustard with a touch of mango (I could be mistaken, but do yourself a favor and pour this on the chicken quesadilla), last, but not least the cilantro lime, which I drought everything with
Ladies and gentlemen, these people have earned their 4.9 stars and should be five, everything they can cooked is with effort and I’m glad they save my starvation, so when you get off the airport and you like Halal food, this is where you go!“

“We dropped by Ace's Pizza around 3pm., Brooklyn, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, 5th Ave NYC and it was such a great experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating—amazing service all around. We ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Caesar Salad, and a 14-inch Pepperoni Pizza. Every single item was delicious! The quality of the food was outstanding. The pepperoni pizza especially stood out—crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. We really enjoyed everything we ordered, and the overall vibe of the place made the experience even better. Highly recommended if you’re in the area and craving great pizza!“

“This was one of the places my friend who moved to LA had to come back to during her visit.

They have the best rice cake and sausage (소떡소떡) I’ve had from a chicken shop. The rice cake is the perfect level of crispiness. The sausage is a normal Frankfurt sausage instead of the Korean ones but it’s still okay because their sauce is perfect. Even before eating the chicken, I can tell this is going to be amazing. They have great combo deals which are great for groups and they also give free Cajun fries (which are also good and fresh) a review! Definitely worth trying.“

VERY affordable burger (smash burger and chicken sandwich were $5) and the quality is top notch - great quality beef and well-seasoned chicken. The man who owns it was extremely courteous and respectful, which made this hole-in-the-wall experience exceptional. I'd 110% recommend going here!“

“The place is a vibe. The atmosphere and esthetics is everything. It has a great vintage, cozy, bookstore mature feels with these bold eclectic open frames. Food is good. Well presented but lacks flavor. Where the food lacks in the drinks make up in style. Service is attentive but not amazing. Overall. Great time. Great vibes. Would recommend and go again for the feel, not the food.“

“First time I went the sandwiches were really good.

Got the tropical island chicken sandwich which was juicy, and their burgers are juicy too.

The strawberry milkshake was pretty good as well.

However second time I went the sandwich wasn't as good as the first time.

Still recommend, its a nice burger place in the area.“

“I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt. The food is awful. Mozzarella sticks were frozen, Cajun fries, a handful of paprika drowned over the top Today beer that's normally $6 was $8 plus a $4 tip, tax and looking for another tip. Bill should have been $20 it's $30. Live with your wn failure. Don't put it on the customers. Pretty bartenders won't cover incompetence.“

“Our food was outstanding. We ordered takeout and ended up choosing the wrong location. They actually brought our food over to the restaurant we were waiting at despite our error. This was above and beyond and much appreciated. We will definitely go back.“

“I have tried lamb over rice. My expectation was more over the taste of lamb. I think they should try more to make it a tasty one. French fries were ok. Salad was nothing special. Overall they should try more to make it something better than their competitors.“

“One of the workers gave me an extremely hard time about the dips that were included in my meal. I hadn’t ordered the food but someone else did so I only had a screenshot of part of the receipt. She said I needed the full receipt to confirm that I had multiple dips. Then after telling her I searched the entire bag, in a rude voice she said I had to bring the bag in to prove that there were no dips, as if I was lying. Then she put two dips in the bag, and then shoved the bag towards me. I told her I needed 4 more and she started laughing saying they were coming. On top of all of that they forgot my fries and I didn't even feel like going back in there. She was so extra and rude for no reason.“

“I got chicken over rice for $12 hands down best deal I’ve had in all of NYC as a foodie. It was my first time experiencing halal food so I asked bunch of questions to the guys at the line and they were very chill; they described all the toppings that I pointed to and gave me a GENEROUS PORTION. Chicken was well seasoned and tender, rice was also seasoned and chickpeas and hummus were decently fresh; everything tasted good even on the next day. This fed me for easily two days! It was truly amazing that I can get chicken,rice,fries(shocking for me) and veggie of choice for only $12 was so impressive. I’m definitely going back.“

“The food was the most delicious than any burger joint you can find. The temperature inside is good (just wear a sweater in case) while you eat. Each burger was created with so much flavors and their house made sauce pairs so well with the fries and burger inside. The service was hospitality, great, and nice cashier who took our orders. “I just ordered online via DoorDash. I was playing Russian roulette today with food. I ordered a 10 piece half-and-half, teriyaki and honey mustard wings With fries and a Mountain Dew. When I tell you, the teriyaki wings was so juicy and good, I was in love. Those honey, mustard wings took me to another level. Those are the best wings that I’ve ever had since I’ve been up here in New York City. I haven’t visited the actual restaurant yet, but I’m looking forward too. “Top 3 k fried chicken I’ve had in my life! Excited to try Sweetie’s after trying Peeps a few weeks ago. The wings were fried to perfection. Didn’t have that double fried (wet coat?) crunch like the heyday of BonChon about 20 years ago but it was a pleasant crunch nonetheless. I would say the crunch is close to what you would imagine Kentucky Fried Chicken’s would taste like based on the picture but unlike that KFC there is no disappointment! Sweetie’s has a nice combination of crunch that also crumbles softly.

My kid got the tteokbokki and it was a very decent sized portion for the price. Good flavor, they didn’t skimp on the sauce, and the rice cakes were not over/under cooked!

“Love this bar!!! Bartenders are always very attentive, food is phenomenal ( especially for a sports bar) Loved truffle flatbread and shrimp scampi. This is definitely the place to get a few Aperol Spritz and frozen Pina Coladas. PRO TIP ask a bartender for some board games , they have so many!!!“

“Ordered takeout from Don Chicken on Northern Blvd and went for the Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken and it did not disappoint. The pieces were pretty big, juicy inside, and had that trademark Korean fried chicken crunch: thin, shatter-crispy, never greasy. The soy garlic glaze was spot on savory, garlicky, with just enough kick to keep me reaching for another bite.

I also tried the Sweet & Spicy flavor not bad at all, just leaned sweeter than what I usually like.

What I really appreciate is how Korean fried chicken is different from the fried chicken most of us grew up with. Instead of a thick, heavy batter, it’s double-fried a method that actually came about in Korea in the 1960s and 70s when fried chicken started getting popular alongside beer (“chimaek,” short for chicken + maekju/beer, is now a whole culture). That double fry gives you the crunch without the grease, and the sauces like this soy garlic add layered flavor instead of just salt and breading.

For takeout, it traveled well too the chicken stayed crisp even by the time I got home, which tells you they’re doing it right. Generous portions, bold flavor, and that authentic K-fried crispness make the spicy soy garlic the clear winner for me.“
