“My favorite place in the area, as the food is always fresh and delicious! The portions are huge and Sal and his staff are amazing; he can come up with anything even if it’s not listed on the menu. They get busy with lunch rush from the hospital and still manage to get everyone in and out. I highly recommend their spicy falafel gyro! My daughter loves their chopped salmon and her best friend is obsessed with the chopped cheese sandwiches. It gives NYC deli vibes. I come here for lunch every week and have yet to leave unsatisfied. They have vegan options as well and there is something for everyone here.“

“I have tried the naan Kebab, chicken tikka masala wraps, chicken tikka masala, the Chana masala, and the chicken broccoli wraps! Each and every one of these dishes were delicious. Would recommend this place for sure as my #1 go-to for the best halal food, and also bring my family over!“

“We were driving through and looking for a quicker dinner than sit down but healthier than fast food, and decided to give this a try. We were both very happy with our orders! We got two different platters, both delicious and well portioned, at a good price point! The mild sauce was very flavorful, and the white sauce was delicious without any heat. The fries were hot and fresh. My only disappointment was that the semi recent photo of the menu showed baklava, but it's not on the menu now. But dinner was delicious! I've included a new photo of the menu- the smaller platters don't include fries. I highly recommend Downtown Platters!“

“This is a great location. The inside was nice and clean. We were a group of five people and the employee who took our order was awesome and patient while each one of us went through the line. Our food also came out a lot faster than I expected it to, so that's a bonus. Food was excellent as well.“

“Absolutely wonderful food, easy to park location (paid lot two doors down), and kind service. We tried a number of entrees and sides: gyro, chicken, sabzi (spinach and beans), and badenajn (eggplant). Everything was excellent! No dinner is complete without dessert, so we sampled the cheesecake and pudding. This is a wonderful place for dining out and we plan to return in the future.“

“Got a steak egg and cheese bagel from there and it was very good. I liked how the egg was omelette style instead of the typical fried egg and it had lots of flavor. Good pricing as well, BEC are $5 and steak is 5.99. Beats the crappy egg sandwiches from Dunkin or Stewarts“

“Halal Shack is one of my favorite spots on campus. Their falafel over brown rice is my go-to, and it never disappoints. Recently, they've introduced some exciting new toppings, including the spicy feta, which is a must-try. The combination of flavors is outstanding, making each visit a delightful experience. If you haven’t been yet, you’re definitely missing out!“

“Order through the Slice app only took about 35 minutes for me to get it and it was the best Gyro I’ve had in a long time I got the chicken. My son got the lamb. My daughter got a double cheeseburger and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in forever! This place is totally underrated and delicious. 100% will definitely go back.“

“One of the few places you can halal pizza. We ordered the Mexican chicken pizza and it was super flavorful and spicy. Their other items like the quesadillas are really good too. My only gripe is that their hours seems to be random now, they used to be open everyday from 11 am to 11 pm and now most days I drive by, they're closed. It might be due to lack of staffing and it being a weird location, but you shouldn't sleep on this place.“
