“Came into Los Olivos Deli and indulged in their Tacos de Res, and it was a delightful experience. The homemade tortillas were a pleasant touch - compared to the usual packaged ones, other places use. The meat was impeccably seasoned, and the accompanying spicy sauce and lemon wedge elevated the flavors to a whole new level. There's a lot of place to sit and extensive menu options. Overall, my experience was so enjoyable that I'm already anticipating my next visit. Can't wait to go back for more delicious food at Los Olivos Deli!“
“Ohhhhhhhhhh, how I just LOVE "hole in the wall places like this!! Give me the choice of a "fancy pants," ultra deluxe gourmet dinner or a "questionable" hidden gem that transports you halfway around the world before you even sit down at your table, I'll go for choice B every time!! I never would have known about this place, but my sister works right around the corner and passes it every day, so with some time off for "good behavior" (winter break!!) we decided to give it a try. Where I live in Ohioooooo, there's "Mexican" food just about everywhere, but it's rare (not impossible...) to find Central American food here, so this was a nice change of pace. We walked in late on a Friday afternoon (about 2pm) and immediately felt "a gusto/en casa" in the cozy dining room, with about 4-5 booths and tables two large parties occupying the center tables. Crowded, but not cramped. Their menu is full of tempting options, we decided to go for the sampler appetizer plate (plantains, beans, avocado, chicken, beef, chicharon, yuca, a fried egg......) and three different pupusas. We had enough food for an army!! It PAYS to have at least SOME Spanish (my ONE "superpower") but the menu is easy enough to decipher, and the waitresses are super helpful. Awesome service, TONS of delicious choices, reasonable prices, and a "free" afternoon "getaway" to a wonderfully hospitable, though too often misunderstood, region of the Americas, what more could you ask for?? A return visit, THAT's what I'm needing!! Buen provecho!!“
“Stopped by unexpectedly to grab a drink (i got a horchata) and ended up coming back an hour later for lunch. Im not even a big fan of horchata but this one was the best I’ve ever had. The food was also top tier and everything was so affordable!! A new favorite. Also- i think this place also goes by yessenias deli for some reason? It pops up on google maps by both names. The lady working didn’t seem to speak much English but she was super lovely and we managed to communicate just fine. Great service and good food ?“
“This cozy little restaurant is just every bit of amazing the decor and atmosphere allow you to feel like you are actually in a latin country. There is an array of authentic Latin and Filipino food that will have your mouth and stomach satisfied . I have been coming to this restaurant since it first opened here in Massapequa, NY . The food tastes flavorful, it's well prepared and made with love. The prices are definitely affordable. I definitely approve and recommend this restaurant as a great place to come to you won't be disappointed“
“I definitely found a place where the pupusas do not have thick edges of dough without filling...these pupusas are delicious, the staff is very friendly.I definitely found a place where the pupusas do not have thick edges of dough without filling...these pupusas are delicious, the staff is very friendly.“
“(Translated by Google) They took time to make the Salvadoran pupusas but they were delicious, they only lacked the rice dough ?(Original)Se Dilataron En Hacer Las Pupusas Salvadoreñas Pero Le Quedaron Ricas Sólo Les Faltó La Masa De Arroz ?“
“The food is normal, it lacks a bit of flavor and salt lol the best were the pupusas. They are delicious ! The only problem I had was the jukebox. When you enter the music is too loud so much that you can't hear the person in front of you speak ? the service is good the waitresses were very attentive but yes, in my opinion PLEASE get rid of the jukebox“
“If you want the best taco's in Long Island this El Salvadorian Central American take out eatery is the best in food quality hands down. I strongly suggest getting the mixed burrito either with steak and shrimp or chicken and shrimp. Both are amazing but I tend to favor the Steak and Shrimp...be prepared for the size of this burrito, it is quite large, but it was soooo good, I had no problem finishing it with gusto! Sometimes take out times maybe unusually long, but that's because the food, prep and service is outstanding for especially for a take out. Dining in is also available next door to the take out. The Ambiance is of a very clean Central American Bodega if you decide to eat in...self serve and pick a table and enjoy the deliciousness of the food!“
“Yesterday was the first time I tried food from this restaurant. A childhood friend recommended this place to me. I was in the mood for good pupusas and my friend told me this place had good pupasas. I called ahead and ordered a dozen of their cheese and chicharon pupusas. I got there in about 20 minutes, waited few minutes for the order to be ready, and took the food home. They provided a small coffee cup of the red sauce and a ziplock bag full of their cabbage and carrots (kinda looks like Cole slaw). As soon as I arrived home, my family and I devoured them. I have to admit, this was some of the best pupusas I have tasted in a long time. Definitely will be going back for more!“
