“Great burger, great appetizers and a slew of fantastic drinks. There seem to be more staff and folks tending the bar that I seem to remember over the last couple of years but there's nothing wrong with that. For the locals the wherehouse is definitely a comfortable place to go, a great place to hang out on the weekends especially in the summer. Tons of parking around the area and lots of other little things to go and see as well on Liberty street. But with the live music and the good food you can spend a couple hours here without a problem.“

Not only is she pleasant and professional, but she acknowledged us while being super busy. I am a picky person and always request substitutions. Bobbi Sue was patient and extremely accommodating. I usually don't take the time to post any reviews but i had to congratulate her on her job.she had the nicest and most friendliest welcome .we ordered the bbq ribs, the Rubin sandwich and a cheese burger . My wife wanted her burger just a little more done .we got Stephanie's attention and told her if they can cook it just a little more.stephanie was so undetsanding and its the attitude you have with a customer that makes the difference of a good employee. “Our experience was pleasant. The food was delicious and presented exceptionally. Appetizers and main dishes were served hot and great presentation. “WOWThis was a huge surprise. I was visiting a customer in Peekskill New York, and pulled over to grab a small bite to eat from a food truck. I pulled into the lot and noticed there was a big line. When I got on line there were a lot of regulars talking about what they were going to order. I asked one of them what they would recommend, and they said you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. They were so right.I got an order of taco's. You got to pick any three taco's you wanted. and the order came with hand cut fries, and this amazing lime aioli. I had a chorizo, fish, and chicken taco. They might have been the best I ever had. After I finished I had to tell the owner how great the food was. He happened to be the nicest guy, and was truly happy to hear that I thoroughly enjoyed his food. He makes all of his food fresh daily, and makes his own chorizo.I went home that night, and told my son about the truck. That weekend I stopped by again, this time with my son and his fiance. Octavio remembered me right away. We ordered a braised short rib grill cheese on Texas toast, a Cuban sandwich that he made with his own smoked pulled pork, and his home made empanada's. All three of us were amazed with his food.My son was getting married in three weeks, and we had rented an Airbnb for the weekend, and were throwing a rehearsal dinner for about 40 people the night before the wedding. We had already planned on having it catered, but my son mentioned why don't we do something different, and see if Octavio would bring his food truck to the Airbnb instead of using a caterer. It wound up being fantastic. We spoke with Octavio, and picked five items off the menu to serve that night. Everyone at the party raved about the food, and Octavio surprised us at the end by serving his home made caramel stuffed churro's with chocolate sauce.If you love great food, you must give him a visit...“

“I came here relatively late on a Friday night. I had a ticket back home on the Metro-North and I didn't want to miss my train, but I also wanted to grab something to eat. The restaurant staff were very helpful in getting me a bacon burger to go. The burger was fairly greasy. It would've been nice if they included a plastic fork for the coleslaw. Overall, they came in clutch.“

“My husband and I tried the Bird and Bottle Inn on Friday. The burrata and peach appetizer was delicious. The mint flavor in the pasta and lamb special really made the dish. I had the sesame tuna special with the coconut carrot ginger purée. Everything was perfect. So many good flavors. We tried a few different cocktails and they were all amazing! The building is also beautifully restored and we loved reading the history of it on the back of the menu. We will definitely be eating here again!“

But the food was very good. The croissants melted in your mouth! The quiche was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh. I was disappointed that they do not offer pão de queijo on Sundays.“

“I had my daughter-in-law‘s shower here, and everybody still talks about it three years later! We had it in the restaurant part, as long as you have 50 people or more, you can have the Champagne Brunch. We had about 80! It was one of the best showers ever! UNLIMITED mimosas and champagne, and the buffet goes from breakfast foods, all the way into lunch foods! “My mother in law and I went to Beacon to celebrate our birthdays and chose the diner for our lunch. They have a wide selection of food on the menu. I had the farmers breakfast wrap and home fries. Mom had her eggs and lox. We didn't see it on the menu but asked the waitress if it was available and she said sure. We were very happy with the service, quality of the food and the prices.Wheelchair accessibility: It's a small diner with a ramp for a wheelchair, walker and stroller accessibility. I didn't walk around much through the interior as we were seated next to the entrance. I cannot verify the comfort level of spacing throughout the restaurant. The bathroom was accessible.“

“Excellent local casual restaurant. We’ve only been here twice in the past five years, mostly recently March 2024. This past visit we had the steak cafe salad, which was delicious. We also split the garlic bread, which was a very smart inventive take on it, cubing the pieces which made it much more enjoyable of a bite rather than ripping apart or gnawing away at a big loaf. Dad is a Marine living at The VA Nursing Home at Montrose and this is his favorite place because they always treat him well and the food is delicious. “DBC is so consistent with their amazing food and service that it makes it hard to go try other places when you know you will get consistency here. Great and tasty beer. Amazing burgers. So delicious fries! Appetizers all yummy. I came recently on a night with my wife and something that stood out for me that visit was when I watched one of the owners clearing a table. I made sure to make to tell them how admirable that was but so often you will see managers in other restaurants telling others to clean while they stand and watch them. The fact that the owners help out on the small tasks means how invested they are with their staff and business. We just asked my 4 year old last night what his favorite restaurant is and he said with confidence Dutchess Bier Cafe! Not sure if you’re aware but 4 year olds are picky eaters and he loves their burgers, fries, and makes sure that he can get the malt vinegar aioli! The pub itself was temp cool, interesting and comfortable. Just a lovely, local, great place to stop for a drink or a meal. And, prices were very reasonable.“

I loved all the veggies in the burger; lots of spring salad mix, tomatoes, slivered onions and lots of pickle slices. It was a pretty messy burger though, lots of water was on the bottom of my to-go container and the toppings kept on falling out. I thought the patty was a bit on the smaller side and the fries were way too soggy, but overall a decent spot!“

Everything is electric blue and a little eclectic. The menu even has back lighting! Every menu needs this feature. The piano keys across the piano room was my favorite. “The breakfast there is the ideal and classic NY diner style. The food is always hot, and cooked to perfection, not under seasoned, not over seasoned. Their use of oil and butter is also great, as it is not too greasy but just enough to add texture and be used as a cooking agent. Pancakes are great, and the eggs, bacon and sausage are all great as well. Home fries are what I would consider ideal, not to greasy or over seasoned, but crunchy on the outside and stuff on the inside. The atmosphere is what you would expect at a classic dinette, small and cozy. The aesthetic tastefully combines modern with the 50s "lunch car" decorum. The service is very good and all the waiters/waitresses we're very attentive and kind. Would definitely recommend.“

“The LH Burger is the best burger in the area. Always comes with an abundance of fries. Food is made fresh & always comes out hot. Add a house salad for a great meal. The staff is friendly and accommodating.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot is a bit tight & the accessible spaces are quickly taken. People usually don't pull in straight and park on harsh marks. Vestibule doors at the entrance are tough from a wheelchair but as soon as staff see you coming, they will hold the doors for you. Plenty of room to navigate once inside. Bathrooms have standard accessibility features.“

The whole town went black!! Lights appeared In front of me, the only thing that was lit up in the town. The music entertainment was fun and appropriate for the atmosphere. Very talented guys. I went there as a southern lady from Ga, kind of skeptical about going in alone, but I was greeted with a friendly smile from the girl bartender. I had a wonderful few minutes speaking with a gentleman in this establishment. After speaking with him a few minutes, it turned out he was the owner of Max's Place. Wow was he nice and welcoming. I would have never guessed he was the owner. This place I recommend sincerely because the service is amazing and the atmosphere is very friendly and fun. I'm happy the town went black and I found this cozy place to go in and sit to rest my feet, after being in the city all day walking. Having a cold beer at the bar was nice. No one messed with me. So, thank you to the young lady bartending, whom I don't know her name, and to the gentleman who made me feel comfortable at the bar (the owner) Sorry, I am not positive of his name and I won't assume that it is Max.“

“This place is a hidden gem!! Slightly off the main drag this place has an elevated menu, amazing mixed drinks, a warm inviting clean atmosphere,warm, funny and efficient customer service. The owner Anthony and his family are so accommodating and sweet. If you are looking for an early evening quiet bite to eat this is the place to check out. However after dinner time, they welcome a late night vibe you can let your wild side out to. I can't wait to check out their Thursday billiard night. “Stopped in for lunch and immediately enjoyed the atmosphere of this Irish Pub. When I heard their Clam Chowder was homemade it was the first thing I ordered. It was creamy to a degree that wasn’t overbearing. Plenty of clams and just enough of potatoes to complement the clams. I could have eaten more. Maybe one of the best I ever had. The burger was fresh and charbroiled to perfection. Fries were crispy. Good selection of beers. Service was attentive and restaurant and bathroom very clean. Street parking only.“
