“Lyonshare has quickly risen to be one of our top restaurants in Beacon.

The dishes are consistently ideally prepared, the drinks are perfectly mixed, the staff - literally each one - is friendly and knowledgeable and chill. The ambiance is the right mix of elegant and laid back. Only drawbacks to note are the limited availability at times (definitely make a reservation) and the prices (on the higher range for Beacon, which is not a cheap spot to begin with).

So we save it for our occasional date spot, and are thankful it arrived in town. Keep doing what you do, folks. Chef's kiss.“

“We recently ordered lunch from The Beacon Daily for a group of 20 people attending a special event weekend at Glynwood in Cold Spring, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the very beginning, Chris, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Since The Beacon Daily typically does not offer direct delivery for a la carte orders, I explained that this lunch was part of a very important three day celebration and that everything needed to be handled with extra care. Without hesitation, Chris personally stepped in, took ownership of the order, and even delivered it himself all the way to Glynwood's Perkins House. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and willingness to accommodate our requests were truly remarkable. He thoughtfully provided compostable plates, napkins, and flatware and made sure every aspect of the order was handled flawlessly. “Oh what a lovely experience! There are little gifts for the Who-fandom scattered throughout the space, which is so welcoming and airy. I spent ages just looking around and fangirling! The person who took our orders was so sweet and so knowledgeable and we loved everything we ordered. They have vegan, vegetarian and GF options so it’s really inclusive. The teas are delicious - we had the Jammy Dodger and it was just perfection. Such a special experience! I can’t wait to go back!“

“First time here. Great spot to chill out. They had a live DJ (DJ Big Will) who was spinning some great songs for the evening. The food was good (had some cheeseburger sliders and fries) the bartender was great. I'm not a big drinker, but they had these hard ciders that were very good. Definitely a nice spot I can see coming back to.“

“A solid enough brunch spot. The best thing we had was the breakfast burrito - heavy, rich, crispy bacon added a lot of texture and the burrito was well grilled. I wish it had salsa with it, but it was good. For the BLTA, it was not a lot of avocado, and maybe not quite enough tomato. The bread was good, but it turns out they don’t make the bread here despite the name. The worst thing was probably the pancakes - no butter flavor at all, no buttermilk flavor, no salt. Very cakey, dessert-like, fairly plain to a certain extent. The outdoor seating is nice because the wait for a table was long, but it’s takeout only when you’re outside so of course no plates or cutlery.“

“I went here in the morning around 8:30am-9am for breakfast sandwich. Both times was great, service was quick and the food came out hot. I ate inside and was a nice atmosphere to have a quick bite to eat for breakfast. I asked for a Egg, Sausage and Bacon (extra crispy bacon) and they cooked it exactly how I wanted it. Would come here again.“
