“It's so nice to be able to walk 5 minutes from my house and get such a great breakfast. I always order 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches and they come out fast on fresh hard rolls with delicious crispy bacon. It's better and much cheaper than that other popular deli in poughkeepsie. Oh yeah!“

Whether eating in the Cafe or getting take-out we're always happy with the service from the staff. My wife needs gluten free options and this is our favorite place in the area to reliably have great options.

My personal favs are an omelet with spinich, tomato, and feta cheese for breakfast or the fresh caprese sandwich (sometimes I add a burger patty) for lunch/dinner. And the homefries are AMAZING.“

Mark and Tracey were wonderful in helping us prepare and set everything up, and they made a typically stressful experience as easy as possible. Our guests are still raving about how delicious the food and drinks were! The wait staff was great too - our glasses were always full. We were a little nervous about the tent in October but the heaters kept it warm and toasty in there, even during a nor’easter. Plus, you really can’t beat cocktail hour on the patio - fire pits, beautiful view of the golf course, and passed apps. Highly recommend JB’s Bar & Grill / MKAT Catering for your next event!“

“Me and my wife are breakfast enthusiasts. Whether it is a new Diner or a new restaurant we are always looking for a new breakfast spot. We came here after my wife had a minor dental procedure. There was a little wait but we didn't mind it was like 5 minutes. When we were seated we were greeted by our waitress, Jennifer. She was awesome all morning. Very vibrant personality with great energy. She explained menu items made my wife a special Coffee and made our experience that much better. The food was outstanding. My wife had scrambled eggs with French toast because she could not eat anything super hard and she has been talking about those eggs days after we left. I got an omelette with pancakes and they were very good. The price to food ratio was outstanding. We are looking forward to coming back. We recently moved to the area and sometimes go to a diner or cracker barrel but it think this will be our new go to for breakfast and once we try the lunch or dinner it will be our go to for that as well. “After our weekly walk adventure a friend suggested we stop by for lunch at Tavern 23. She said it was a 'hole in the wall' but the food is excellent. Well, was she RIGHT! Two of us had the Kale salad and another person had the Reuben. We shared a Beech Brie appetizer. Everything was delicious, fast, and very friendly service even though the place was hopping on a late Sunday afternoon!!! Highly recommend. ;-)“

“First time here. Great spot to chill out. They had a live DJ (DJ Big Will) who was spinning some great songs for the evening. The food was good (had some cheeseburger sliders and fries) the bartender was great. I'm not a big drinker, but they had these hard ciders that were very good. Definitely a nice spot I can see coming back to.“

“I went on 10/22/2024 to the location on Albany Street in Poughkeepsie N.Y. Today is my mom Birthday we had a party of seven. When we arrived we were told they don't have big table for our size party. They managed to add a table. The food was a 1.5 Everyone fries were over cooked the chicken was dry not a bit of Honey was tasted on the sandwiches. Tap water warm little to barely no ice. It took over 30 minutes to receive our meals no bread sticks salad nothing offered while we waited. It was a HORRIBLE DINNER. We asked if they have any Bday specials were told No. Do you sing Happy Birthday No. Mind you we were told by the person that recommended the place said they do sing Happy Birthday. I'm starting to feel it was a racial situation. Yet we still left tips. The Family had to go find Food upon leaving. The server was great it was her second day. I wish her well“
