“I would have rated Overall to be OUTSTANDING as Food was excellent. Even the waiter service and everyone at the restaurant was very good. The unfortunate thing is the person I spoke with on the phone. Our reservation was at 1245pm on Saturday, 9/28. I called at 1153am to inform them that our original reservation of 4 will now be 2 as the couple who was to be with us called us to say they were not feeling well. The gentleman who took the call was very rude. I indicated to him that we will be there in 30 minutes. He then told me that they could only wait for 15 minutes and they would cancel. I then proceeded to tell him that I said I would be there in 30 minutes therefore on or around 1230pm, in advance of our reservation. I said that he may have misunderstood me. He then said to me that he did not want to argue but that he has a recording of what I said. And he said this quite rudely. He is a customer service representative of the CIA. He could have simply just said that he may have misunderstood but to tell me had a recording! That was terrible. He mishandled that call. I suggest that you better train the people who take calls and handle them better. It leaves a very negative experience for your customers. I was close to canceling my reservation. Glad I did not because our dining experience was GREAT!“

“Went to the Millbrook Cafe on a Saturday evening with my wife and sister-in-law period we started off with the seared scallops and the jumbo shrimp which were both excellent. Cooked to perfection and plentiful. Then we had the salad which was also very good and fresh. My wife had the full rack of ribs, sister in law had the avalon and shrimp, and I had the Brazilian lobster tail, shrimp and scallops. All three meals came with outstanding vegetables and red potatoes. All three meals were cooked perfectly. It is very easy to overcook lobster and shrimp but the cook was spot on, tender and juicy. Service, food and atmosphere were all top notch.
Will definitely be back!

French & Continental cuisine, pleas read on! I am Phildo the foodie and have lived & dined in the Hudson Valley for more than 40 years. I passed this place up too many times and decided to give it a whirl.
The food is super fresh. Homemade warm biscuits started our meal off complimented by a bowl of TO DIE FOR Vichyssoise soup. The soup rivaled those In Montreal & Quebec City. Perfect balance of flavors and the broth was light and filling.
My main course, Seafood in a saffron lobster broth was perfect. Large diver scallops, PEI mussels, fresh clams and shrimp. Seafood was very fresh and delicious. The broth was velvety , smooth but bursting with flavor with hints of garlic, celery and tomato.
My wife had the Seafood crepe. Diver scallops, shrimp, mushrooms and chives . The crepe was cooking perfectly and the creamy wine sauce was absolutely perfect.
The portions are very filling what we would expect at a relaxed atmosphere establishment. The entree prices were not expensive and the 16 ounce Delmonico steak special was less expensive than a steak house and was a hit
around the room.
I can't wait to go back and sample some more of their great food.“

“I've gone here numerous times, and the food is really good. There is a lot of variety on the menu so finding food that you like should be easy. Service can be spotty. Really good 1 visit and times where getting a check can take longer than it should.“

Whether eating in the Cafe or getting take-out we're always happy with the service from the staff. My wife needs gluten free options and this is our favorite place in the area to reliably have great options.

My personal favs are an omelet with spinich, tomato, and feta cheese for breakfast or the fresh caprese sandwich (sometimes I add a burger patty) for lunch/dinner. And the homefries are AMAZING.“

Indoor Service has always been fast, friendly and excellent for the entire length of business operations from their inception, but several times that I’ve sat outside with friends, the server has been neglectful. But other than that deficiency, indoor experiences have always been top-notch with both servers and food quality. Ambiance is that of a pub with one big open room and there’s always a lively vibe flowing about.“

“During my family's and my visit to the FDR Presidential Museum, we had lunch at Uncle Sam's Canteen. The canteen is built in a military style, complete with propaganda paintings.

As we are all vegetarians, we had grilled cheese sandwiches and salads (including the macaroni salad and potato salad). Not the fanciest food, but still very appetizing. It was also very convenient to eat on site, and the service was very fast (even though this was the weekend after July 4th). I would definitely recommend checking out this eatery if you're going to the museum and want to dedicate as much time to the museum and house as you need.

Vegetarian options: The grilled cheese sandwiches are very nice, as are the various salads.“

“So me and my family are up here this weekend for my wife's college reunion thing and she suggested Applebee's. It's close by the college and we wanted some good food before we head back to the hotel. Our waitress was phenomenal. I can't give her enough praise, attentive, patient (there was nine of us), plus she served two other tables around us. I gotta say the food wasn't as good as I had hoped. To me it's a hit or miss with boneless or regular wings. Either they're too saucy or not enough sauce. These were too saucy and my pasta was too saucy as well. My wife complained about the chip being stale as well. The ambience was good. Wasn't too to crowded but with a big family we bring the crowd with us usually. The staff was definitely accommodating so I really enjoy that.

Kid-friendliness: This was definitely a family friendly vibe as more families were there versus single people at the bar.“
