Classic dishes always executed perfectly. Everything is cooked in their open kitchen on the hearth, the wood fired heat and the cast iron beneath each dish means the quality of the ingredients shine. They’re masters of their work, do pay them a visit in this casual, easygoing family run space. It’s rare to find this level of attention to detail anymore.
My two boys took my wife and myself to the Millbrook Cafe for dinner on a Saturday night. We all started off with French onion soup which was outstanding. Next were the house salad which was also very good. Wife had the half rack of lamb which she said was excellent. My one son had the rack of ribs which were out of this world. As you enter the place, a magnificent setting, adelightful marriage of a cozy dining room and a view of the wood burning oven. Sitting in any table, you have a wonderful view of the workshop-like kitchen where you can see the chefs working. The menu has a generous selection of many types of meat and fish. I would strongly recommend it to anyone.
