Unassuming from the outside, the dining room opens into a large room with quaintly matched tables and chairs, brightly-colored vases, and rustic art on the walls. “Decided to go for breakfast. This diner is only about 15 minutes from me. it definitely looks like the 1970s inside. Nothing much has changed in all these years. They had some other good breakfast specials so I decided to go with their biscuits and gravy sausage gravy with potatoes and I added an egg the service was very friendly. Some locals were sitting at the counter around With the waitress looks like the owner may have come out and talked to them as well. My food came out and it looked very good. The sausage gravy had a good flavor. I didn't see that many chunks of sausage in the gravy however. The potatoes were cooked very nicely Crispy and tasty the egg was made just right. The biscuits were fresh and fluffy. Definitely a good value as well. Good Hardy portion I've heard that the burgers are made at the diner. Too often diners just get those frozen burgers and they all have the same consistency and taste. Out of the good number of diners in Kingston. There's one on the main street downtown. That's pretty good as well. Plus one that's a little further down the road I think there's even another one not too far from that one but out of the four this one is the best .“

Our waitress Michelle was very friendly and accommodating. The calamari appetizer had a light batter with great flavor and the halibut bites were so tasty. Main courses were strip steak, bone in pork chop with apples, chicken Lombardo and cod. All 4 of us raved over the flavors of our meals. Broccoli was amazing as well as their French fries. To top the evening off, the owner Denny stopped by our table and was so friendly and gave us a history of the restaurant. Highly recommend for a date night or any occasion.“

“Nice place great service. My battered fish was too thick and undone. They did make me a new plate. I was disappointed it was one piece of fish because without the breading it was small. The fries were glistening with oil. I could not eat them.I left hungry. Staff and the manager were very nice.I do not eat fried food often but this was just too greasy as the second meal was brought I was happy but tue fries still were saturated in oil. Maybe they don’t drain them? Not sure.My friend’s meal was fine, grilled salmon, nice portion and her mom’s food was good too.Stick to non fried or battered food for me.I was shocked at the prices. I know things have gone up but $32 for a salmon dish and a side salad being extra. Thats more of fine dining prices and this is not that.My friend’s side salad was just lettuce with a shaved 1/2 a ring of red onion. I believe that was an extra $5 or so.That is not a salad. But she did like the dressing.“
