“Temple Hill Tavern is a great place for family events. Paul and Mark are outstanding. I have had a couple of events at the Tavern. I have never been disappointed. The staff is accommodating, attentive and take the worry away. Temple hill is a permanent go to spot in my book.“

“I ordered the Lamb over rice and it was really good. Almost as good as in NYC. I wish they would put some fries or fried shrimp, like the food carts in the city. I've also tried their fried chicken, skin crispy with nice flavor and juicy insides. I def recommend this place. I left one star because it could be a wait to get your food when there's people waiting. I edited my review. I absolutely love the food here and the guys that work there are awesome.“

“a much needed meal after going on a rocky and steep hike up beacon mountain. came on a saturday night and they had live music. the menu felt very fall forward with a couple dishes having apples in it. we tried the focaccia (loved), pierogis, crispy potatoes (delicious), biscuit with honey butter (lovely), pork chop (well cooked), angolotti (tasty mushrooms), sea bass, and skewers.“

“Conveniently located off the highway and near our hotel, we are so glad we stopped at this diner. The decor is hip and very clean. The service is great. Very efficient. The portions were huge. “Absolutely excellent dinner location for Thanksgiving. Authentic Revolutionary War Era Inn setting with phenomenal dinner menu for Thanksgiving. 4 of us came here for Thanksgiving- my wife, me and her parents, we all got something different and this place did not disappoint on anything. The chateubriand filet mignon and New Zealand rack of lamb were on point in every way. The side vegetables- the sweet potatoes, the stuffing, the arugula, the green beans, and the carrots were all perfectly cooked to an optimome composition and coloring. The popovers were a nice throwback a little dry but the strawberry butter more than made up for them. The dessert the Belgian chocolate mousse was impeccable. The overall ambiance and atmosphere of this place was very Yankee in a great way, it reminded me of Olde New England Inns and Taverns. Pricing wise it was not the most economical menu but doing Thanksgiving at home with guests wouldn’t have been cheaper. I definitely recommend anyone slightly interested in a place like this come here as they will fully enjoy. We did not reside here but if their hotel accommodations are on par with their dining accommodations, you will get what you pay for and then some.“

Parking and restrooms were very good. Neighborhood was a little sketchy saw homeless people looking for cans and asking for change in the parking lot. Overall was good and average place.“

“The burgers are INSANE, a must order. I loved my caramelized onion/French onion, burger, and the brunch burger with fried egg, both were delicious, probably top burger I ever had.

The regular size fry $6 was huge and way more then enough to share for 2 hungry adults

“We recently ordered lunch from The Beacon Daily for a group of 20 people attending a special event weekend at Glynwood in Cold Spring, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the very beginning, Chris, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Since The Beacon Daily typically does not offer direct delivery for a la carte orders, I explained that this lunch was part of a very important three day celebration and that everything needed to be handled with extra care. Without hesitation, Chris personally stepped in, took ownership of the order, and even delivered it himself all the way to Glynwood's Perkins House. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and willingness to accommodate our requests were truly remarkable. He thoughtfully provided compostable plates, napkins, and flatware and made sure every aspect of the order was handled flawlessly. It is rare to find a business owner so personally invested in ensuring a customer's event is successful. Most importantly, the food was fantastic. “Me and my wife are breakfast enthusiasts. Whether it is a new Diner or a new restaurant we are always looking for a new breakfast spot. We came here after my wife had a minor dental procedure. There was a little wait but we didn't mind it was like 5 minutes. When we were seated we were greeted by our waitress, Jennifer. She was awesome all morning. Very vibrant personality with great energy. She explained menu items made my wife a special Coffee and made our experience that much better. The food was outstanding. My wife had scrambled eggs with French toast because she could not eat anything super hard and she has been talking about those eggs days after we left. I got an omelette with pancakes and they were very good. The price to food ratio was outstanding. We are looking forward to coming back. We recently moved to the area and sometimes go to a diner or cracker barrel but it think this will be our new go to for breakfast and once we try the lunch or dinner it will be our go to for that as well. The teas are delicious - we had the Jammy Dodger and it was just perfection. Such a special experience! I can’t wait to go back!“
