it was fun just upsetting false advertisement museum wasn't free and extra cost for activities
Miss some of the older displays that I felt were more hands on science learning like the baseball hitting area and the ant farms, to just name a few. They have been replaced with too many read only displays. What a disappointment. Thankfully, the lower level made up for that and the kids were happy.
The New York Hall of Science is a popular destination for families, offering a variety of engaging exhibits and activities. The preschool area is a highlight, with a small but fun space and friendly staff. Nearby, visitors can find a nursing room for convenience. The bubble area is especially popular, with many guests enjoying the soap bubbles and the interactive world wall. The large space is filled with hands-on activities and workshops that are fun for both children and adults, including interactive physics labs, aerodynamics simulators, and environmental science zones. Outside, the Science Playground and Rocket Park are not only fun but also photogenic and architecturally clever, allowing visitors to explore gravitational forces, wave motion, and simple machines through play. The outdoor playground is spacious, though some feel it may not meet everyone's expectations, and there might be an additional fee for outdoor areas. The museum also features the city exhibit, where kids can pretend to be engineers, garbage men, city planners, and bus drivers, helping them learn how important these roles are to a working city. One of the standout attractions is the immersive 3D theater, where science documentaries become cinematic experiences that are emotional and mind-expanding. The museum masterfully blends education and entertainment, making it a great place for families to explore together. The food court offers a variety of options, and visitors can buy tickets online for quick entry, sometimes even getting free tickets on Fridays from 2 to 5 with prior reservation. Overall, the New York Hall of Science is a lively, educational, and fun place that keeps visitors engaged for hours.
