Ivory Kitchen 至味堂 Reviews
Great atmosphere! great service! This is my first time trying Yunan style food, and my expectation was pretty high, because I am a spicy food lover and I heard the foods there are spicy and sour. I have to admit that Yunnan ham was the best!! Yet I was a little bit disappointed about the rest. Newly opened decent Yunnan style Chinese restaurant. Very delicious family style dishes, well designed and decorated inside, great service.
They have alcohol license. It’s good to have a cup of red wine or shots of whiskey or bottle of beer served with the food.
Great dining experience, would come back again.

Ivory Kitchen 至味堂 is a newly opened Yunnan style Chinese restaurant in Douglaston. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, well designed and decorated inside, with great service. It offers family style dishes and has an alcohol license, so guests can enjoy red wine, whiskey or beer with their food. The Yunnan ham was the best, and the jumbo shrimp with celery dish was fresh and flavorful. The kung pao chicken was amazing, the beef noodles were very good, and the chicken fried rice was perfect. The pork dumplings were delicious, and the cucumber salad was so delicious that two orders were placed. The hot bean whole fish dish, Singapore noodles, Hunan Rice cake, Scallion pancakes, beef chow fun, sautéed string beans, veggie rice cakes, fried veggie dumplings, spinach and tofu and crab roe are also mentioned. The food is made to order and amazingly fresh, and the waitstaff were outstanding. Entree portions can easily feed 3-4. There is free parking at the church around the corner. This charming venue is a must for anyone who appreciates authentic Chinese cooking.
