“We had a joyous birthday celebration at my son’s favorite restaurant. Akanomi’s staff and sushi chefs, itamae, excelled at all endeavors. Vivan was spot on with her suggestions and service. She anticipated all of our needs, especially with our children. The chicken soba soup, tuna carpaccio and Hawaii Rolls were our favorites. Then the sashimi / sushi mixed roll party docked. It was stunning in presentation, offerings and taste. Oh my, it was very impressive. A most wonderful time was had by all.”

Besides having excellent food (the burgers are superb and according to my son “it’s the best breakfast spot yet”) they have adequate parking to accommodate a truck and trailer. The owners are super nice, their meats are sourced out of their family farm and they have a grab and go option for when they aren’t open! 10/10 recommend. We will definitely be back!”

“Updating my review because I forgot to write in it . ? We are so happy to have Cullens in the village and we hope they do well. If you visit, please take the time to leave a review as well! We hope this small business is supported and stays with us for a long time, they deserve it. We popped in this morning for some bagels and coffee. As expected the bagels and fresh cream cheese were absolutely delicious and they had a great variety. One of my biggest flaws is how picky I am about coffee so typically I don’t even attempt to order it when we go out, but today I tried their banana nut latte. Seriously, it was the best coffee I’ve ever ordered! I can’t shut up about it and I can’t wait to to get another tomorrow morning. Definitely take the risk and order yourself a fancy coffee next time you are in the area. Wishing the Cullens crew nothing but the best- thank you!”

“Sometimes you just want Wanton Soup. Bamboo does a great job with all their dumplings and the other American Chinese food. The owners seem to be an older couple that care more about their food quality than anywhere else in Schenectady. I wish they made real Chinese food as well! I feel like they would make killer Dongpo Pork, Chicken Feet, Tendon with Sea Cucumber, Jellyfish Salad, etc. If you like Beef Broccoli, Sesame Chicken, Sweet and Sour, this place has the BEST American style Chinese food. I haven't tried their pork yet, and that is usually the protein American Chinese makes hard, dry, and sometimes inedible (Scotia/Glenville Chinese food comes to mind, if anyone could make decent Asian food, you'd make generational wealth with all the terrible Asian food in Scotia/Glenville). The only bad thing is the atmosphere. Let's be honest, you aren't bringing a date here, or sitting down for a traditional family style Chinese meal. So atmosphere shouldn't be a problem. This isn't my favorite style of food, I'd rather go to Hu's House or Ala Shanghai. If American Chinese is your thing, DEFINITELY give this place a try!!!”

“Wow! Stumbled on this gem while visiting family in Upstate NY. Sat outside on a beautiful August afternoon enjoying a delicious Riesling and wood fired pizzas. Owners spent some time with us and could not have been nicer. They turned us on to a new wine (Edelweiss), that we had never had. OUTSTANDING, especially on a warm summer day. Beautiful venue for weddings, corporate functions or just an afternoon with friends and family. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.”

“Volunteered at a wonderful event for Petey's Legacy, a local pitbull rescue. Many other rescues were in attendence, there was live music, and a performance from Hedlawitches! De Fazios was serving up their amazing pizza, and the outdoor taproom was open as well, serving hard ciders, beers, and a specialty drink as well as a specialty pup cup! A perfect first day of November!”

“First time visiting Bamboo Garden, the young lady behind the counter was sweet and friendly. My son ordered crab rangoons and he says they are the biggest he has ever seen!! He asked for extra beef in his pepper and steak meal and extra he received. Meal was delicious,we definitely will be back ??”
