“ive been going to this place for years. the place doesnt look like much and is usually empty. the food takes very long to get even for a takeout order usually waiting about 25-40 mins waiting for the order to be ready. another problem is the phone number that is listed for them online and in the store isnt a real phone line, its either the wrong number or the line is disconnected, it makes it impossible to call in an order for pickup so your left waiting there for a long time waiting for your order. another thing is the bathrooms are disgusting. overall i continue to go here because they have the most amazing empandas i have ever had on long island, and they are so cheap“

“Cute place, delicious food. The chicken enchiladas and chorizo taco were spectacular. I was a little upset that the menu said the enchiladas came with beans and rice and I didn't get any, but I already had enough food to fill me up, so it wasn't a big deal. Next time, I really want to try the beans and rice, though. ?“

“I dont have much to say about this place pero their papusas are fantastic. I finally stopped in here after eyeing it for so long, and I'm glad I did. The cabbage that comes with it in the red saucy thing is the best I've ever had. They have a variety on their menu and they do take credit card for all you non-cash people!“

“This family owned business has excellent pupusas. I ordered 20 of them and they were by far the best I've ever had. The establishment is kind of hidden and recessed back in a small commercial strip. Id consider this a hidden gem for sure! The staff are very nice and friendly. I encourage anyone who hasn't tried pupusas to go and try theirs. You wont be disappointed!“

Deli los Olivos Latin American • $

“Came into Los Olivos Deli and indulged in their Tacos de Res, and it was a delightful experience. The homemade tortillas were a pleasant touch - compared to the usual packaged ones, other places use. The meat was impeccably seasoned, and the accompanying spicy sauce and lemon wedge elevated the flavors to a whole new level. There's a lot of place to sit and extensive menu options. Overall, my experience was so enjoyable that I'm already anticipating my next visit. Can't wait to go back for more delicious food at Los Olivos Deli!“

“Ohhhhhhhhhh, how I just LOVE "hole in the wall places like this!! Give me the choice of a "fancy pants," ultra deluxe gourmet dinner or a "questionable" hidden gem that transports you halfway around the world before you even sit down at your table, I'll go for choice B every time!! I never would have known about this place, but my sister works right around the corner and passes it every day, so with some time off for "good behavior" (winter break!!) we decided to give it a try. Where I live in Ohioooooo, there's "Mexican" food just about everywhere, but it's rare (not impossible...) to find Central American food here, so this was a nice change of pace. We walked in late on a Friday afternoon (about 2pm) and immediately felt "a gusto/en casa" in the cozy dining room, with about 4-5 booths and tables two large parties occupying the center tables. Crowded, but not cramped. Their menu is full of tempting options, we decided to go for the sampler appetizer plate (plantains, beans, avocado, chicken, beef, chicharon, yuca, a fried egg......) and three different pupusas. We had enough food for an army!! It PAYS to have at least SOME Spanish (my ONE "superpower") but the menu is easy enough to decipher, and the waitresses are super helpful. Awesome service, TONS of delicious choices, reasonable prices, and a "free" afternoon "getaway" to a wonderfully hospitable, though too often misunderstood, region of the Americas, what more could you ask for?? A return visit, THAT's what I'm needing!! Buen provecho!!“

“Just had a excellent meal. The cuisine from the land which is representative of my love and our shared regional area backgrounds. The ambience of the dining amenities was exceptional as was the music that adds the favor towards those membered host establishment fellow friendly communities. My suggestion for taste choice arroz carne con ensalada. Muy delicioso. Can't wait for my next visit con mi familia El Salvadoran Hispánicas members. Tried the Cuisine again this evening. The same Carne con arroz without ensalada tonight. One great quality when you visit any establishment results when the food preparation and taste never diminishes from initial visitorship. I guess this will be another establishment as many other fellow Salvadoran restaurantes of shared heritage background visitation. Keep up the good work and exceptional Customer Service. Bueno mi amigas.“
