“Went here last weekend to have lunch with our daughter who goes to St. Johns. Parked right on the corner (Metered ) no parking lot for those wanting to know. Mostly college crowd. I particularly enjoyed the spinach and strawberry salad. There was an issue with our order so it was delayed, but when we spoke to the manager, he took care of things quickly. “My absolute favorite Greek restaurant! They have several locations, but I like the one in Bayside the best because I find it's not as crowded as the other ones. The parking here can be a little tough but there is a municipal parking lot about 3 short blocks away and you can also take public transportation there, it is about a block away from the Bayside Long Island Railroad station. Try their steak its my favorite, but I also recommend the octopus, and their fish is always fresh and delicious, but you really can't go wrong with anything you get here. This place is always super clean, the service is always great and they pour a great drink. Now, this is an edited review from my original because i just had to mention Arif, who is the general manager. When you meet Arif you will understand why this place is so great. The guy makes you feel like family and makes sure you have a top-notch experience. Well done, Arif. What else can you ask for! We visited it on a Friday evening around 5 o’clock and were surprised to find the restaurant nearly empty, with only one other table occupied by a birthday celebration. The restaurant’s location at the crossroads of Merrick Avenue and Old Country Road made it easy to access, with plenty of parking available.Despite its small size, FandoQ had a cozy and neat atmosphere, decorated with beautiful ethnic paintings on the walls. “I called the restaurant today on my daughter’s birthday (2/26/24) to ask for a table for 5 people including two children. I was told there’s not enough seating for everyone but they would gladly accommodate us at the event space next door. I agreed. My family arrived at around 6 and the two ladies took our order and Yvonne took a few minutes to prepare the table for us. When she led us into the room we were so delighted and astounded! “My grandma and I always go here and get pad Thai with mock duck. The food is heavenly! Anything good you could say about the food is true! The duck is crispy on the outside and buttery melt-in-your-mouth on the inside, and the flavor of the sauce is just incredible! The glass noodles are light and have a perfect texture. The regular noodles are filling and also perfect. Oh- and the peanut sauce that comes with the salad is the best peanut sauce you could ever imagine! So the mimosas were pretty good. Tried 3 different flavors: passion fruit, lychee, and pineapple. We both really liked the lychee one. Although it was a touch sweeter than I would have liked. My friend liked her eggs Benedict. Basically licked the plate. We chowed down on the fries. Although neither of us cared much for the sauce that came with it. So we had them bring us ketchup. It's hard to find a place that makes a good chicken & waffles. Their waffle was good, balanced with flavor good texture. The chicken was good too. Breaded nicely, tasty and moist inside. Wish they gave maple syrup with it though or just honey. They gave me some over processed syrup like log cabin but it was fine Service was great too. Our server was on it. She always appeared at the right time. Just when our drinks were getting low or if we had a question. Food also came out at a nice pace. Looking forward to our next visit.“

“Weekday lunch special is a nice deal the price and portion sizes are great. This time we had the chicken marsala and chicken parm, both very good. The marsala had a nice deep colored sauce, but it was a bit too sweet. I really like their house red sauce. We were given two complimentary meatball sliders which we happily ate and enjoyed. The bread they serve is also very good too with oil for dipping. I also had the mini lobster bisque, which I just love it there. It is more creamy without the lobster chunks but great flavor and texture. The restaurant is more or less always packed, loud, and tables very close together. Service is fast and efficient but not warm and friendly, which is fine for the atmosphere. They get the job done.“
