“We go to this Applebee's before going to the Islanders games at UBS.
It is decorated with pictures of the local high school and college sports teams as well as pictures of local police and firefighters which I appreciate.
When we go it's usually happy hour and we are able to get happy hour pricing of we sit at a booth in the bar area or at a table in the dining Room.
We have never had a 'bad' server but of course some are better than others.
The food is always consistent and Applebee's always seem to have some some gererous promotion going on to make the meal more affordable.
The food is tasty and the drinks are cold, what more could you ask for.
There is also always a manager visible during our visits.
It can get crowded even at the bar but the crowd seems like all great people who just want to enjoy a beer and a burger etc.“

“Nolan is very professional and communicates with. I booked him for catering and staff to help with my daughter sweet 16. He is nice and so was his staff. The food hands down was Excellent! No food gone to waste. It was more than enough for my guests. Highly recommended“

“Tucked away in the corner of the lot and not that visible from the road but man they make some delicious halal food. We got platters, chicken nuggets and salad and it was all so damn delicious.

Their prices are very fair given the high quality if their food it's like restaurant grade in my opinion. They have a vast menu and something for everyone. Convenient parking lot right outside. Come and try them out you'll be glad you did.“

It’s very nostalgic to locals as it was built where the Rockaway staple known as Gallagher, Snug Harbor and Daltons once stood before the beautiful hotel was built. Margie’s serves up some great food including an excellent variety of prime steak cuts. Their cocktails are excellent and one must taste their staple Irish Coffee which is fantastic. Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

“I have been a customer of Austin’s Ale House for many years, I know them well they know me well. This year I decided to give the excellent and highly favored family cooking team a break and had Austin’s Ale House cater our Christmas Dinner. I went with the ham dinner for 10 to feed 7 people🤣. The ordering was done with ease and so was the pick up. The family did a preliminary tasting...... LOVED .IT and whatever we have left after the “taste test” will have to serve as our Christmas Dinner. Since the taste test was so aggressive we may need to supplement what’s left with a few cheese omelets 🤣. We enjoyed it so much there was much talk about it becoming the new family tradition. There’s an outdoor patio, that for obvious reason we couldn’t use. The temperatures in NY have been in the single digits lately. The food and the service were on another level! Gregory was very attentive, welcoming and friendly. The food was finger liking good! I had the pan seared scallops with spinach risotto and OMG. I can’t wait to go back. There is valet parking, which in 10 degree weather is a huge plus.
There was a coat check which is another perk.
Then we were seated in the main dining area in a lovely and comfortable table with a cloth tablecloth and napkins, which is a great commodity nowadays in an era where even upscale restaurants have given into.
The service was phenomenal.
Presented with warm fresh rolls along with the menus. A food menu and a drinks menu.
We dined a three course meal which was outstanding. From the starters to desert everything was cooked perfectly, plated and presented like an upscale restaurant should.
The meal, service and atmosphere was worth the price.

She was funny pleasant and took care of us. Long story short, after great apps and drinks, paid the bill and left…I dropped a $50 out of my pocket after I paid and left and was only 2 store fronts down and she came after me telling me you dropped a bill and gave it back. You don’t see this honestly often anymore. Kudos to her and Rove deserves her as an employee.“
