“I have always been a fan but today I am sick. The last two times I have gone it's been terrible. The older woman who usually cooks wasn't there. The egg rolls were old and mushy, the fried rice flavorless and the lo mien was soggy.“

“Honestly, this is the best chinese food in the greater Binghamton area. The owner is friendly and seems to take pride in the food, something rare nowadays. Best Lo Mein and Chicken & Broccoli I've had in years. Prices are lower than most other places, too!“

“My wife got the General Tso’s chicken and I ordered the pepper steak with onions. Both were excellent. The food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The restaurant is very clean, the staff is extremely friendly, and the whole place has a comfortable, welcoming feel. They even have a fish tank up front, which is a nice touch and gives you something relaxing to look at while you wait. Overall, great experience and great food. We have ordered here many times and have never been disappointed!“

“I get the coconut chicken every time and it’s always good. If it is door dashed sometimes it's cooler, that’s not their fault as dashers make stops along the way. The lady and her son are super nice. Is their restaurant so if they want to eat in it they can n where ever they want. I’ve seen it in bodegas ALL OVER BROOME COUNTY ! some of these negative reviews are weird. Like who weighs their food! They aren’t guarenteed to give you EXACTLY THE SCOOPS OF RICE AND 20 pieces of chicken. Could be a little more or less! I’m sure gas for their delivery of THEIR PRODUCTS FACTOR IN AS WELL! I remember a yr nobody could get tomatoes! Like be fair in judging! Of it’s consistent then ok just don’t eat there! But if a one time thing try again! They have been open along time. That says something!!! I love them. N their family!“

“This is an authentic Asian restaurant, offering a wide selection of foods, many of which are different from what you'll find in a typical restaurant of its genre. “UPDATE AS OF 8/31/24... THEY MUST HAVE GOTTEN A NEW COOK BECAUSE THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS. MY DAUGHTER LOVES THE CHICKEN AND BROCCOLI AND MY SON LOVES THE BEEF AND BROCCOLI.

“Always make the longer drive to come here. Their boneless spare ribs are amazing and better than any other I’ve tasted in the area. The kids at the counter are always super nice and helpful. If I wait in my car, they bring me the food which they don’t have to but I appreciate.“
“I thought this place would be like Panda Express! I could not be more wrong. This place hits the spot if you are into more authentic Chinese food. It’s not like the typical Chinese takeout from NYC. I would highly recommend this restaurant! Great food and great service!“

I can’t say enough good things about China Star Restaurant on Pennsylvania Avenue in Binghamton! Their dinner special is an absolute steal generous portions, fresh ingredients, and flavors that hit all the right spots. The shrimp egg rolls are a personal favorite; perfectly crispy on the outside with a delicious, filling that keeps me coming back for more. The staff is always friendly, and the service is quick, making it a go-to spot for a satisfying meal. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and try China Star you won’t be disappointed!“

“This has been a family favorite for years. I understand they changed ownership recently so I was curious to see how they would do.
The food was good but the restaurant was a disaster. There were plates of half eaten food on the tables and one guy was sleeping next to his order at another table.
This will be a take out only spot for us.“

“They have great food here! We regularly order sushi & hibachi dinners. Our favorite roll is the Dragon Roll. They have a great COVID friendly set-up. We wish they would have special sushi rolls occasionally and maybe list it here on Facebook. We would love that!“

Nina is such a sweet woman. It's always a joy coming in and having a meal being served with so much love, warmth and excitement. The place is ALWAYS clean when we come.
On that note for a Chinese restaurant to make a viet dish yeah its bangin i can say one of the best if not the best taste in town for pho!
Definitely come and enjoy! You won't regret it.“

“This restaurant was close to the hotel where I was staying. The young male staff member was very friendly, always smiling, and made me feel welcome.
I ordered takeout, and I really enjoyed the dishes I chose: fried chicken over rice and stir-fried beef with vegetables in oyster sauce. Everything tasted great. The beef was especially tender and flavorful you could tell it had been marinated really well.
The restaurant also kindly gave me some complimentary fried spring rolls to try, which was a lovely surprise. The staff were very generous, and the food was delicious. I noticed from other foreign customers’ reviews that the fried spring rolls are one of the most popular items there.
The food was packed very well in tightly sealed plastic containers, and everything was placed inside a paper bag as an extra layer, which I really appreciated.
They also have a huge variety of dishes on the menu, with so many options to choose from.“
“My family has been enjoying takeout from Far East for many years. It’s decent food, but I am extremely disappointed with their new website. The photos on the site must be either AI generated, or Google stock images and most of them look absolutely nothing like the dish actually being served.“

“I went here years ago and it was not good. I rediscovered them recently when we ordered delivery. The others one was on Pennsylvania Ave Binghamton. This was superior to that and I would recommend trying it again if you weren’t impressed before you will be now.“

“Boneless ribs were ok, Pork fried rice not greasy but not particularly tasty. The Wonton Soup, however, excellent. Not your typical dive Chinese restaurant soup. The broth taste likes it was made from scratch. I would imagine the other soups are good too so I recommend the place for maybe an egg roll and soup.“
