“1st visit, but not the last! To start, their bread w/ herb olive oil dip was so delicious. I chose Italian dressing for my salad, which had a bold & tangy flavor that delighted my palate. My Chicken Marsala was perfectly cooked w/ a tasty sauce and loaded with mushrooms. So yummy! And the Utica Greens...I could eat every day of my life!? Our waitress was the epitome of hospitality and, despite the place being jammed, very efficient. (I'd name her, but my memory?) This place is a gem on every level and we're so looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Oaks Inn, we'll see you again soon!?“
“Had been asking around for a while what some good pizza spots are down here near Binghamton. Got referred to Nicks more than once! Got a pizza later at night was actually the last one of the night. Super nice inside area. The pizza was great! The dough was nicely done and flavored well. There weren't any dry spots, sauces both done nicely. An 8/10 pie wish the chicken was a little bigger, and the garlic had a little more cheese. One of the best I've had down here in the Binghamton area. We will BE BACK! Also excited to try their other Italian food sometime.“
“So, I was invited to a wedding shower at the Sons of Italy in Binghamton, NY. I was absolutely under the assumption that we would be heading to an Italian restaurant but! The Sons of Italy is similar to a VFW or American Legion. It's a very non-descript banquet hall with a kitchen in the back and a bar. It also looked like it had a downstairs but I didn't go down there. The staff couldn't have been friendlier an the food was absolutely top notch and served family style. There were three courses: pasta with pork, salad with oil and vinegar dressing and green beans cooked with garlic, potatoes with rosemary, and chicken Marsala. Dessert was provided by the hosting party. The hall comfortably sat about 80 people and there was a lot more room to be had!“
“This place isn't just a pizza joint , it's an absolute delicious italian restaurant !!! I had the veal Marsala with a "side" of pasta and my mom had ravioli .. comes with homemade garlic knots, cooked warm and fresh and a nice dinner salad.. the waitress was amazingly friendly and helpful.. I've eaten here about 15 times which isn't nearly enough !! Love love this olc“
“From the very first step into Concordia,is very inviting, beautiful entry way, causing me to want to see more! Just a few steps down I entered into a very warm and inviting atmosphere. The beautiful oil paintings on the walls were truly breathtaking. The dining experience was really exceptional , the food was cooked to my perfection and to top it off was the dessert! I am looking forward to going again, and again! Thank you for opening such a beautiful and enjoyable place to relax and unwind! ❤️“
“If you know you know. Best pizza around. I’ve moved out of state over 15 years ago but Jim Romas pizza will forever be my favorite. The way that cheese melts into a gooey goodness is something that needs to be studied and recorded for future generations. Subs are the real deal, cookies and fresh bread is a cut above.“
“Food was delicious, service was excellent. We got a pizza and they are generous with the size at 16 inches. The style is thin and crispy bar style pizza. It's a rowdy atmosphere with a large bar and booths on one side with a few tables in the middle. It was a nice old school kind of tavern vibe. The calamari we ordered for appetizers were great and the wine was reasonably priced.“
“Dell'Arco was very nice. The atmosphere was very cozy. The food was excellent. I had veal parm and the portions were very big. The bread was fantastic it was soft and tasted great. I also had calamari for an appetizer, and I think it was the best I've had in the area so far! The drinks were good. I had an old-fashioned and my girlfriend had wine. The waitress was great and very accommodating! If you are looking for good Italian food, this would be a great choice. It does have a smaller dining area, so I would suggest getting there early as it does seem to fill up quickly!“
“I asked the waitress if the chicken parm was fresh fried...she said yes. It wasn't. Pre-cooked and pounded out so thin it had no flavor! Also..the sauce was bland. Not like Tony's sauce at all. It was busy on a Thursday night. People are drawn in to a beautiful restaurant only to be served sub-par food. Oh! But the salad was excellent! But the bread was cold. I like my bread warmed up. It doesn't take much to do that..but they get away with it. I've had plenty of experience eating in Italian restaurants in this area. This one is a fake. Sorry for the negative review...but I call it like I see it!“
“Most of the time the quality is great. And most of the time the pizza is the best ever. Taft is definitely the best location. Like many other Broome County natives. I grew up on Nirchis sheet pizzas and although I travel far and wide, there is no pizza that compares. Nirchis could really become a national franchise. I only recently heard that the dough recipe comes from Battaglini? I lived next to that bakery for a time and the baking bread smell.....both Nirchis and Battaglini are 2 of the best to ever do what they do.“
“Probably the closest to true fine dining we have in the area. The food is always good and while it’s an expensive, celebratory night out, you get a lot for your money. From big portions to “extras” throughout the evening (bread service, sides, salad or soup included, cheese and chocolate with a bottle of wine etc.) you get your money’s worth. The food is tasty and the service is great. Have been a few times and will continue to celebrate occasions here.“
“Great service with nice staff that is willing to make your food correctly and give it to you in a timely manner. The Chicken Sofia is the best of the dishes with the others being the pizzas, wings (Chef Shawn’s Carolina Gold mostly), Grandma G’s Chocolate Cake, and The Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake. If you haven’t stopped in to eat yet in your lifetime please do.Kid-friendliness: Servers work very well with kids“
“It's a dreary cool, damp day in mid April. Clouds are doing the usual thing in Broome County. Since I needed a spring sheering I decided to stop at Franks on The Avenue for a cut. Lucky I went as they are beginning a major reconstruction on The Avenue. Well I got my hairs cut and since it was close to lunch I decided to check out The Original Italian Pizza just a few doors down from Franks. I go in the back door and was immediately greeted. Since I was going to take my order home I asked, "How fast can you finish up a cheese and pepperoni?" The answer was "7 minutes." OK ! Outstanding! Anyway the pizza is finished, I pay, load it into the car and head home. A few minutes later I open the box and theres this beautiful pizza begging to be eaten....and I did. This pizza took me back to a great NY pizza. Thin crust, just crispy enough. The sauce, uniform, tasty, not sweet, not watery. The cheese to die for with great stretch. Now onto the fold...a work of art. This is by far one of the great pizzas in the area. Great flavor and reasonably priced. They're open Mondays thru Friday 10 to 10. They have a nice size dining area and have a nice menu including stromboli, calzone, salads, spaghetti and subs. Now as I waited I noticed a kind of silent conversation taking place as orders were being taken and modified then delivered to waiting customers with everything to perfection. Not only does that speak of repeat customers but a caring staff that knows their customers and thats a great thing. I don't know why I didn't stop by sooner but it's definitely worth it.“
